  1. You gotta be kidding me, a full Sabrina and high heels too! I made an effort to watch the first season, which was mildly entertaining if you could ignore all the “drama” BS but I haven’t seen it since. On one hand I think the show is good thing in that it might “normalize” guns and it probably does attract a whole new demographic to become interested in the shooting sports. I just hope they don’t bring their “drama”.

  2. On the one hand, this might have been Amanda’s idea.

On the other hand, the producer should have taken one look at this sequence, smacked the back of the head of whoever the hell came up with it, and gone down a significantly less-stupid path.

Really not regretting my choice not to subject myself to that…

  3. I haven’t watched any of it since the first season, so I can’t speak to what it has become. But, I don’t blame them for having a little fun with it *if* the participants are really on board with things. I know they don’t really get a say in what they do since it’s “reality” tv, but I’d like to think that if a woman said, “Oh hell, no,” they would honor it.

That said, I may have once gone to the range on Halloween with some girlfriends dressed in costumes. My costume may have possibly been a long sparkly red formal with 4 inch “stripper” heels. We figured we’d have some fun at the range before hitting the parties later that night – and it was a great time. Not all shooting has to be super serious, and I’m okay with that.

But drama is what makes things a little interesting, especially when there is some sort of voting elimination. As long as it’s not insane, I just write it off as being part of most mainstream tv entertainment. I suspect the viewers know that the participants aren’t chosen because they are truly the most skilled shooters in the world, but because they make for good tv. Just like Survivor doesn’t feature actual survivalists trying to see who lasts the longest and lives the most comfortably, it’s about who can get by while still bringing a hint of soap opera-quality drama to the show.

  4. You guys don’t like hot chicks on television? What are you, a bunch of faggots? Amanda was the only contestant that I was interested in so after episode 1, I tuned out.
