MOms Demand Ice Cream

When you bring examples of deranged people using guns from places like California, Chicago or the NY/NJ Zoo, you are showing we are right when we say stupid Gun Control Laws do not prevent stupid behavior.

Then again in redneck Land, the idjit runs the chance to be shot before the cops get there….

  1. Not trying to venture into internet commando territory here, but there are several families that live in the apartment complex where me and the lady reside. And an ice cream truck that comes at OGAWDEARLYTHIRTY on Saturday.

Seriously, I could hand a dollar out my bedroom window and get a Popsicle.

If some nut job tried that here, my biggest concern would be getting pants on before the police and media showed up.

  2. OK, I’m going to go there.

I think the “motivation” for this shooting was that the guy was handed an illegal gun and a fat wad of cash by Bloomberg, then told to go make some headlines so the Moms Demanding More Action(harder, faster, better, stronger edition) could report on it.

  3. Until we find out if this nutjob got his gun after passing a background check all this wailing and rending of clothes is pretty meaningless.

Also, I note that it is being reported that he “shot at” the kids. Nothing said about by how much he missed them, or where those bullets went. You’d think Mommies Demanding Attention would follow up on stuff lie that. 🙁

    stay safe.

  4. Children are very small targets, but at an ice cream truck are probably very close. In other words, in a target rich environment — the idiot obviously missed by intention.

Was he wearing an “Insane Clown Posse” mask? I have to go with the FBI agent from “BONES”, who has a not-entirely-irrational fear of clowns. Never trust anyone in white-face, is what I’m saying.

Thanks for allowing me to get all the obvious cheap shots (TM) out of the way. Expressing rage by firing a firearm is not socially appropriate. You may wish to write this down, as W.E.B. Griffen would probably say.

On the other hand, if I had to spend my working day listening to a loop of “The Farmer In The Dell” or that other obnoxious song (“Pop Goes the Weasel”?) which Ice Cream Truck loudspeakers play over and over and over and over and over and over and over and …. well, I would probably think that 20 years in solitary confinement was an attractive option, too.

    But that’s just me.

  5. “…join us to pass laws and establish policies that help protect the eight children or teens shot and killed every day in America.”

You mean like the law against murder?

How about the one where it’s illegal to shoot at someone if you’re not actively engaged in self-defense?
