VA GOP May Strip McAuliffe Of His Bodyguards Over Concealed Carry

It’s not lost on anyone that the biggest supporters of gun control are those who have other people with guns employed to protect them.

Live the way you preach… Time to remind politicians that we elect public servants, not Royal Masters.

Owner/Operator of this Blog. Pamphleteer De Lux. I lived in a Gun Control Paradise: It sucked and got people killed. I do believe that Freedom scares the political elites.

  1. Please, please, please!

It is time our “ruling overlords” live like us again.

Of course, if some “muslim missionary” from the “religion of peace” (spit) kills him, I will shed no tears for this vile, evil man. I would much prefer that he converts from his nasty liberal ideology and join the human race and become a conservative; but his head is too far up the rear end of a unicorn for there to be much hope of that ideal result.

  2. I have been advocating this for a long time. Remove the paid for protection from everyone who is anti-gun. Now they just have to have the balls to follow thru with it.

  3. Damn, that would be a sweet comeuppance!

  4. Never gonna happen.

    • Was thinking the same thing – the gop-at-large has shown me they are spineless and ball-less.
      This will *never* happen.

  5. Gun owners are usually a quiet group which gives politicians a false sense of security when it comes to messing with us. But half of Americans own guns. Sometimes more, in states like Virginia. Politicians and anti-gunners need to remember:

We’re not trapped in here with you, you are trapped in here with us.

  6. Oh man that’s brilliant! I hope it happens.

  7. Another suggestion I could make is to take the AG and his staff off of the list of state employees allowed to possess firearms in the course of their duties, or to possess firearms on state property. Sauce for the goose, and all that.

  8. Great idea, but it will never happen.
People seem to forget that the state legislature can pass all the bills it wants, but the governor has to sign them for them to become law. Unless there’s a veto-proof majority (and there almost never is), it’s all just grandstanding.
That’s why I don’t get too excited when some Congressman introduces a pro-gun bill like national concealed carry.

    • Well, if the legislature was serious about things they’d attach the rider they want to a bill the governor/president can’t or won’t veto… They’d also remember that they have the power of the purse as a part of the checks and balances. If this isn’t happening, it shows that your majority isn’t actually in charge.

    • Sure he can veto it, but then it’s up to us to force him to explain why he’s so special and that it’s do as he says, not as he does.

  9. I agree if they don’t think we need to protect ourselves then they should have to depend on the same source of protection we do.Let them call the police when in danger like they expect us to do.

  10. […] IT WOULD ONLY BE FAIR: VA GOP May Strip McAuliffe Of His Bodyguards Over Concealed Carry. […]

  11. as a person who has been shot by and it took the police and medical folks 20 minutes to gather enough force to come to me. All the while my ARMED neighbors where standing with me and administering first aid. Grabbers are the enemy ….. at least when the neighbors arrived I felt safer if the perp had come back for another try.

  12. You have it exactly backward. The guy making the executive decision has to justify it, all his opposition has to do is publicize it. If I was the VAGOP, I’d be slavering at the jaws at the possibility of a few years of, “Governor McAuliffe thinks he’s special and deserves 24/7 armed protection…while disarming citizens!” ads and billboards. “Governor McAuliffe, if gun control is so good why did you veto HR 8675309?” Let HIM try to explain it; because there is no explanation he can give that is not going to sound bad. .
