Even though we have discontinued the .177 caliber, this model still has enough room in the barrel to get a powerful enough charge to break glass and go through coke cans depending on the type of powder being used of course. The best powder is black powder. We now have the .30 caliber available which solves a lot of the issues with the .177 caliber and will fire pretty much anything you throw at it. You may want to try different packing techniques with the .177 caliber along with black powder, because it will in fact break glass with ease. Hope that helps.
