And it is a list of the Usual Suspects. I thought with all the drama and notoriety that it would have more people behind it from the get-go. Full text of the bill still unavailable as it usually takes a couple of days after announcement to be published.

      1. Usual suspects, and not a Virginian amongst them. 17 cosponsors, when this would be a watershed moment for the liberals?

I hope it doesn’t become a rider to anything more important, like say, the budge- well, 4 years and running I doubt they’ll even put one on the floor.

  1. Feinstein, Levin, Blumenthal, Schumer & Schatz- Jews opposed to firearms have never made sense to me, one would think that given their people’s history of persecution and oppression, that they would be the most vocal supporters of the Second Amendment. The great hallucinogen, liberalism distorts their view of history.

    1. I’ve always found that those who lived in the U.S. and never saw what a nicer place it was than where they used to live were always the first to betray her.

The Philippines isn’t some dictatorial country when I was a kid, nor did I notice when I grew up, yet I knew of Marcos (and my parents lived through him), and of the other regimes in my part of the world, so I was always quick to defend her when I first got here.

These people don’t. They’ve always lived in some kind of luxury, and dare I say, privileged lifestyle many people can only dream of.

    2. I’m a Jewish American gun owner, supporter of three pro2A organizations, and a former Airborne Soldier. It has never made sense to me. The Jewish American culture is a ‘victim-culture’. They have come to associate guns, the tool, with their oppressors and murderers while naively hoping by being involved in politics they can guide policy not to turn against them. While I do not see a future American Holocaust I do see the possibility for the ever-growing American police-nanny state to become increasing fascist and to keep reaching into our lives and liberty. Eventually, the state envisioned by elitists such as Obama and Feinstein will turn on its own supporting sheeple taking away all or most of their 1A rights.

  2. I’m curious to see the list of Cosponsors withdrawn. Not surprised to see Feinstein’s cohort Boxer on the list, but none of the others are from west of the Mississippi, not even CO. Hmmm. Guess the pioneer spirit lives.

  3. I am dismayed to see both my senators supporting this bill even though in ct we already have an assault weapons ban that both did not apply in the recent shooting (according to the best information available) and is obviously has had no effect on gun crime! Well they will be getting a stern letter and a few phone calls

  4. But it always starts out small. I think Lauterberg 10 round magazine capacity ban had just over 21 co-sponsors last week and now has or at this point may of reached 60. I expect it to reach about 110 or so shortly. So who is to say it will not get more as the days go on?

  5. To bad these elected officials don’t use some of their energy trying to resolve our deficit issues and pass a budget, you know the things that they were elected to do

  6. Awaken the sleeping giant. I’m not waiting till they come for my gun, I don’t want a nation-wide Lexington & Concord. THIS is where we draw the line!

Is this not the America I remember as a child who celebrated the “Spirit of 76″? I even had the role of Thomas Jefferson in a school play that year (yea, I’m showing my age). I remember it well and long to be nieve enough to somehow hold on to that spirit.

    Her name is… “Liberty!”
