Mr. Morton Kurzweil’s published rant in the Sun Sentinel’s Letters to the Editor this morning caught my attention. I could not find it online so I offer you a pic of the original version.  Mr. Kurzweil’s interpretation of the Second Amendment baffles the hell out of me. Probably somebody will come back to me quoting Blackstones but I doubt much that The Second Amendment was part of English Common Law. Maybe something related about weapons for the defense, but not a Second Amendment that recognizes that the Right to Keep and Bear Arms is innate to the Citizen (not the subjects of a King) and in this United States, not England and nothing to do with a religious tiff between Protestants and Catholics.

However I do find Mr. Kurzweil last sentence revealing:

“Why this right has become a cause to insure personal security of person and property against government is irrational, except among those who believe in the divine right of kings and the superiority of religious beliefs over the equality of law in a democracy.”

I am guessing Mr. Kurzweil has not read the Federalist Papers, nor the tons of constitutional research on the Second Amendment. But irrationality and anger seem to be the realm of Mr. Kurzweil anyway. On another letter to the editor on July 3, 2008 Mr. Kurzweil complains of the use of fireworks and has no qualms on claiming the Bill Of Rights as his prerogativ.

If you wish, you may shoot fireworks at my house. Be assured that I will respond to such an act as a criminal threat to my security and will respond with all necessary force to defend myself and my property.

Damn! How come Anti Gunners are so violent?


Brady Bunch Fundraiser: Embarrasing.

Sebastian just posted that the Bradys have amassed an incredible amount of funds 5 days after they started a fundraiser against Open Carry: A whooping twenty bucks.

It is another nail driven into the coffin of Brady’s Irrelevance. It is old-hairy-uncle-wearing-Speedos embarrassing to see them like this. They need to be put out of their misery. Is there a Lobby Group Death Panel in the Obamacare Bill by any chance?

I would encourage you to go to the Starbucks on Pike Place at 10:30am where the loons of the Brady Bunch are planning on doina “lie in” (both in position and verisimilitude) protesting Starbuck’s decision to respect customers who carry guns legally.

Now, don’t engage in a confrontation, just go inside, order some coffee and sit down to read your favorite gun magazine. Make sure the magazine is visible to the loons, smile and excercise both your First and Second amendment rights. If addressed by the angry hippies, smile and wave.  Take pictures!

Official Statement by the Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Violence but Failing Miserably ‘Cause We Don’t Get It.

In a city far far Left, a voice of reason rises above the uncouth rednecks with guns. Our Hero Mark Morford, rises to fight against the evil forces of the NRA Empire. His stylish writing full of witty repartee strikes deep and wide using every possible prejudiced thought while managing to lie through his teeth and avoid the issue of Human Rights, Self-Defense and just plain common sense (common sense not available in California, void where prohibited by the Brady Bunch). And all because there might be some of them rednecks at his local Starbuck and he does not want to be nervous while sipping his overpriced caffeine beverage.

Welcome to the Starbuck Wars. Apparently the whole thing got legs out of an ABC report about Open Carry proponents meeting peacefully at different Starbucks in the Bay Area of SanFran. It seems that some have been horrendously scared that people would actually have the balls and the rest of the equipment to defend themselves and have thrown a super hissy fit about it. Of course now enters the Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Violence (A.K.A. The Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Violence by providing criminals with defenseless victims and A.K.A. The Brady Bunch) with the words of the local coordinator Karen Arntzen:

“This myth, that these people are somehow super heroes that are out there ready to take a bullet for you, they’re just as likely to put a bullet in you,”

This is what passes for information in the Bay Area? You know, there is a point in the mental process where if you actually start believing in the propaganda you spew, it is an indicator of major mental problems. Mind you that people go to Starbucks in other states every hour of every day legally carrying a weapon, may it be concealed or open and there have not been one single incident. Nobody has gone crazy and started a shoot out. Nobody has engaged in an argument that ended up in a shooting over latte and sconces. Nothing.

The Brady Bunch is suffering from Acute Irrelevance Syndrome. They have become a joke even within the ultra liberal fringes of the Left.  Long ago they could get away with their falsehoods knowing that the public did not have the resources or access to the truth. They would fudge crime data or outright lie with the complicity of the Traditional Media and come out smelling like Saviors. But even that started to go sour. When Florida adopted Shall Issue Concealed Weapons Permits, the Brady Bunch warned of the impending doom of more crimes, more murders and the end of civilization as we knew it but something funny happened: Crime and Murders went down and more people started to carry guns in the State of Florida. Other states followed with their own versions and the Brady Bunch came out in each and every instance prophesying Rivers of Blood in the Streets and it didn’t happen again. They became a joke in the internet among the Gun Culture. Whenever we heard that a State was about to pass a Shall Issue CWP, we created our own Brady Bunch releases with the tired old topics we heard before and they almost matched word by word the real thing.

Then the Brady Bunch got creative. Florida still the most hated State because we started the avalanche so they went for the shock value factor with stuff like this:


This banner is supposed to be (or was) somewhere in North Florida on or around I-95. It was meant to scare tourists into turning around and heading for “safer pastures.” I mean, who in his/her right mind would like to be around a bunch of armed Crackers, Haitians and Spics? Right? Well, it didn’t work as well as planned. The pic got a lot of movement in the forums and we were rightly proud of the fact that the Brady Bunch spent that much money in warning criminals about what we can do to them down here if they decide to ply their violent trade.

After the billboard backfired, the Brady Bunch tried to do something similar in airports by passing fliers like this at Miami International and Fort Lauderdale Airport.


And boy they got lots of media coverage…for about two news’ cycles. One of the representives of the Brady Bunch (probably imported from D.C.) at Miami International Airport was allowed to go on camera saying that tourists should not use violent movements of the hands because they might be interpreted as a violent act and get them shot. Now saying this in a South Florida County with a 60% population of Latinos who use their hands while talking in such fashion that we make Italians look like paraplegics, did not sit well with the local populace and the Brady Bunch were shut down faster than a New Marine Recruiting Station in Berkeley. We got the chance to laugh, point them out and say “See? they are the racists, not us.”

Of course it did not help that just recently the Violence Policy Center published the unfortunate Black Homicide Victimization in the United States document where basically conludes that black people shouldn’t have guns which is pretty much the same claim that the Ku Klux Klan make. And just to add more crap to their already stinking mudbath, the Brady Bunch are celebrating Mark Morford’s “opinion” piece, so full of profiling, prejudice and hate, Klukers are offering him a free membership and a free White Sheet Suit included. Moderate Klukers are protesting saying he might be a tad too prejudiced and it might stain the good name of the Klan.

Thank you Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Violence. You are now providing us with a good laugh.

PS: Can we get one of them billboards down here in Miami. Superbowl is here and we need to remind the carpetbagging criminals that things may not be as easy as they think. Thanks!

UPDATE: Via Snowflakes In Hell (H/T) I find out that Starbucks told the Brady Bunch to go drink a crappola frapuccino somewhere else. “Starbucks does not have a corporate policy regarding customers and weapons; we defer to federal, state and local laws and regulations regarding this issue,” Starbucks’ customer relations department said in response to the Brady Campaign’s request.”
Irrelevancy rears its ugly face to the Brady Bunch once again. One more event like this and they can apply for federal funds as a disaster zone.

Gun Market in Somalia: 2 Libs get owned.

When I finally upgraded my old DirecTV box to a DVR, I went through the motions of setting my favorites and I guess I accidentally programmed Current TV (Wholly owned subsidiary of Global Warming Enterprises owned by Al Gore.) If you have nothing else to do, I recommend you watch it every so often to get a good laugh at the fantastic level of stupidity you can see in some of its shows.

I just finished watching one of their documentaries called Wanna buy an AK-47? by Kaj Larsen and Chritsof Putzel. I’ll take their word that two whiter than Wonder Bread youngsters just stroll in the middle of a Somali gun market, video camera in hand and proceed to haggle for guns. The expected anti-NRA rhetoric is obviously expressed by Mr. Putzel (more on his name in a minute) who tries his best to look professional handling both and AR-15 and several Aks but it looks like his experience does not go farther than playing with Arisoft replicas. Mr Putzel is even amazed at the fact that they sell RPG launchers (no grenades) openly and touches one with fear as if the launcher was going bite him

The best part of the video however is when Mr. Putzer visits another gun selling establishment and a Somali decides to mindf*ck him by aiming an RPG launcher at him. Mr. Putzer just wobbles and freaks like a little girl looking at a mouse and a roach copulate, pushes the launcher away and him and his cameraman seek refuge under a wooden shack to the absolute delight of the Somalis present who can’t help and laugh at the two morons.

You can even here somebody in the background say “No bullets!” amidst the laughter and catcalls. Of course, next comes the obligatory “We are suddenly in danger and we must flee for our lives” scenes and I actually believe it happened. Even though in the video they sort of hint that maybe they overstayed their visit at the gun market with a video camera, I suspect that in reality the translator might have overhead the crowd say something along the lines of “These two idiots just crapped their pants when somebody aimed an empty tube at them. I think it is time we introduce them to the joys of Somali Man-boy love.”

PS: Yes, the tactical bolding of Mr. Putzer’s name is a cheap and low pun. But it is damn funny and accurate after watching the video.

Today at work shortly before the end of the shift, I was enjoying the latest SWAT Magazine issue and in particular an article by Rob Sloyer about setting up rifle matches when a coworker walked by and asked me what was I reading. I did not reply but just showed him the cover of the magazine… and it happen.

Idiot: (chuckle, chuckle) “Are you one of those Gun Lovers?” (chuckle)

Me: “I do not love inanimate objects, only living things. How about you? Do you love a particular piece of equipment?”

Idiot: “Uhh…. (blank stare)

Me: “Dude, go away.”

Hoplophobes and Gun Haters (yes, they are haters of inanimate objects) seem to still be stuck with the notion that Gun People are inbred rednecks, schtumping their sisters, chugging beer and watching wrestling. And I know that Idiot saw me that way even though I am a Hispanic, only child that does not drink alcohol and falls asleep at the mention of Wrestlemania.

And we supposedly are the prejudiced ones.

She goes on to quote Mayor Manny Diaz and Police Chief John “I drive a free SUV” Timoney crying about the increase of murders and how easy is now for the gangs to obtain the Evil Black Rifles. However crime numbers from the FDLE website reveal that after Chief John Timoney took office in January of 2003, crime shot up in Miami Dade and the Assault Weapons Ban did not expire until September of 2004. So it seems more a question of ineffective Police leadership that guns after all. Maybe the true mass murderers are not those of us with Evil Black Rifles but the Major and the Police Chief with the tactical support of Journalistic Whores.

So what really do we have here? Is it really that assault weapons are widespread and mowing down innocent people or something else entirely? The sad truth is that Chief Timoney has been a failure curbing crime in the county and more specifically in Liberty City and Brownsville where these attacks happened. These are black impoverished areas under the control of local drug gangs that pretty much do whatever they want to do with little opposition from the Police. The rank and file cops, who want nothing more than to take on the criminals on the street are ticked out of their minds (a study done in 2007 shows that almost 70% of the officers under Timoney have serious complaints about his tenure), but the powers that be have not done enough to bring confidence the community and this has created a huge vacuum between the community and Law Enforcement where criminals thrive. Maybe it is too hard to commit resources to what them might consider a lost zone or lost group of people. Maybe Chief Timoney is too busy traveling abroad in conferences and junkets to be paying attention to dopers shooting each other and their communities or just plain racism.

People in these communities are double hostages: First of the criminal element doing plying its deadly trade and also hostages of a Mayorship and a Police Chief caught in their own web of political correctness but incapable of doing the right thing for fear of catching hell… or maybe afraid to break a sweat. It is much easier to blame inanimate objects that face the reality of their failures so the Evil Black Rifles get blamed for the tribulations of the poor Black Neighborhoods. Not the useless Mayor, not the corrupt Chief of Police, not even the Black Leaders that place the race card but do not have the testicles to tell the community the hard truth of being responsible for their lives and doing the right thing. It is my AK the one at fault for the collapse of cheap Social Engineering.
