Gun Free Zones: A Graphic Example of Failure.

About 5:54 a.m. today, Cobb police received a call about an active shooter at the FedEx facility at 1675 Airport Road in Kennesaw, Officer Mike Bowman told the AJC.
“We have multiple victims at this time that have been transported to a local area hospital,” he said in a statement. “We have multiple agencies assisting us with this incident. The area around the building has been secured and the officers are now clearing the incident location. This is still an active and fluid situation.” It is not clear if a suspect is in custody.

They are their own worst enemy (Trolling for fun and profit)

I get email alerts and sometimes you get links to sites that are less than even keeled and the members of the crew are all wearing big white sweaters that makes them hug themselves. So I get this article by some weird woman saying that the NRA Has Declared War On America (Or I am butthurt that I cannot get that many people to my Birthday party) I make a comment and hilarity ensues.

trolling is fun 1

I had to laugh hard. Did this moron ever stop to think and maybe rephrase his statement? I mean, the option to edit the comment is available in that site. He didn’t so I had to reply:
trolling is fun 3

Apparently he did not like my reply:
trolling is fun 2Life is good… 🙂

Moms Demand “take” Indiana. A tale of lowered expectations.

This what passes a winning with the Opposition:
MOMS DEMAND TAKE INDIANAI doubt that there are more than 200 people in that picture, maybe not even 150.  They have 30 pics in the Facebook album but it is hard to see the MIB Guards.

I really did not pay attention if this get-together got any national attention. But even with the best make up artist available, this pig could not be made pretty: It was an object failure. It was supposed to be  the first great cannonade of the New And Improved (V5.1) Gun Control/Safety crusade with the full support of His Divinity Michael Bloomberg. It was a squib, a party favor at best.

This was to be a 2 hour or so event, it attracted fewer people than a morning rush at the local Starbucks.

We won.

I am OK with that.

Christ and self-defense: Police officer lays out biblical case for killing » Naples Daily News

Wichita Falls, Texas, SWAT Officer Charlie Eipper lowered his head to his rifle, peered through his Simmons scope, searched for his target, and fired.

When he killed a man in the line of duty on Jan. 10, 1999, he was confident that Jesus Christ condoned — even supported — his use of deadly force.

He spelled out his convictions — and the Bible’s support for them — in his book “Jesus Christ on Killing,” self-published March 5.

The book is available on Amazon.

The seldom discussed subject of the legitimate killing of a human being and how does that mixes with Judeo/Christian values.  As a Catholic (although in a long hiatus) I refer to the Catechism regarding the Fifth Commandment

2263 The legitimate defense of persons and societies is not an exception to the prohibition against the murder of the innocent that constitutes intentional killing. “The act of self-defense can have a double effect: the preservation of one’s own life; and the killing of the aggressor. . . . The one is intended, the other is not.”65

2264 Love toward oneself remains a fundamental principle of morality. Therefore it is legitimate to insist on respect for one’s own right to life. Someone who defends his life is not guilty of murder even if he is forced to deal his aggressor a lethal blow:

If a man in self-defense uses more than necessary violence, it will be unlawful: whereas if he repels force with moderation, his defense will be lawful. . . . Nor is it necessary for salvation that a man omit the act of moderate self-defense to avoid killing the other man, since one is bound to take more care of one’s own life than of another’s.66

2265 Legitimate defense can be not only a right but a grave duty for one who is responsible for the lives of others. The defense of the common good requires that an unjust aggressor be rendered unable to cause harm. For this reason, those who legitimately hold authority also have the right to use arms to repel aggressors against the civil community entrusted to their responsibility.

A burden we do not seek but we know we might face.

AN OPEN LETTER TO BEARDED HIPSTERS (Language warning)

YOU GUYS ARE RUINING MY BEARD FETISH.  Ever since I was a little girl, I’ve loved a man with a beard. To me, they meant strength, power, MANLINESS. Someone who could protect me. Unfortunately, you guys have turned it into a fashion statement. The beard has turned into the padded bra of masculinity. Sure itlooks sexy, but whatcha got under there? There’s a whole generation running around looking like lumberjacks, and most of you can’t change a fucking tire.

I could not stop laughing. I bet butts be hurt all over Hipsterland.

Important note for the people of Wausau, WI.

This is a Nerf Gun:
This is a real gun:

“They did scare a number of people in the area,” said Captain Ben Bliven of the Wausau Police Dept.

Six students, all seniors, were cited for disorderly conduct.

“Our dispatch said there were three people with firearms,” said Bliven. “So we had to respond appropriately. We wanted to do everything as safe as possible for us and for the citizens in the area.”
Wausau West seniors face consequences from nerf guns.

There are several locations in the US where the US where you can find The Fountain of Stupid. This must be one of them.
