Recently I have written several posts about Leftist pundits, opinion writers, or politicians who have come out against having kids.

The arguments fall into few categories:

Selfishness: kids are expensive and cramp your style, don’t have kids and think of all the disposable income and free time you will have.

Feminist careerism: kids will get in the way of you becoming CEO/Chairwoman of the Board/Senior Partner/etc., and you will be happier with your luxury apartment with walking closets full of Prada and Jimmy Choo than being a mom.

Environmentalism: kids are just another generation of resource consuming polluters and it would be better for the planet if we didn’t have any more of them.

If a woman does get pregnant, the Left will encourage her at every opportunity until her due date (and now beyond it) to abort her child for the aforementioned reasons.

These messages are all over the place.

Yet, if Conservative stands up and says “many women are happier being a mom than CEO” or “maybe, just maybe, we shouldn’t be trying to legalize late term abortion for convenience” he will be shouted down for being a sexist, misogynist, knuckle dragger, who believes that women should be barefoot and pregnant in the kitchen.

It seems to me that the side that really wants to control women’s bodies is the Left, and the control they want to exert is to keep women from having kids and happy, loving families.

I can’t, for the life of me, figure out why.

  1. It is a good thing if the far left does not reproduce, maybe they will die out by themselves without having to be shot

  2. I just don’t want to subsidize someone else having kids.

The most obvious example is more welfare for people who have kids while on it, but there are others.

  3. It’s kind of funny, as the Left also loves political dynasties. The Kennedys, Clintions, and Obamas- even the Bush family in a perverse kind of way.

  4. They want fewer and fewer Americans, (especially whites) to have children because they know that “migrants” have them by the dozens. It’s simply math and time…

  5. Selfishness: kids are expensive and cramp your style, don’t have kids and think of all the disposable income and free time you will have.

What a crock of bullshit. I was married to my first wife for 24 years. We never had any children. We also never had all the money and freedom they talk about either. Now as I approach 64 years old, my greatest regret is not having children. Naomi is my second wife and she came with 3 kids. They are great and I treat them like my own, but it’s not the same. These feminists are going to end up alone and bitter with 3 or 4 cats for company and BOB* in the drawer.
