And we have this one from our friends at CSGV:

CSGV Medical Insurance

Not for nothing, but yes, I feel safer with my guns.

According to a new study just out from the prestigious Journal of Patient Safety, four times as many people die from preventable medical errors than we thought, as many as 440,000 a year …That means hospitals are killing off the equivalent of the entire population of Atlanta one year, Miami the next, then moving to Oakland, and on and on.

The Gun Control Cult keeps throwing around the 30,000 annual “gun deaths” and tell us that we are having not only a crisis but an epidemic. But seeking medical treatment puts you 14 times more likely to die than actually owning a gun. If my math ain’t too messed up, we have an average of 1,205 preventable medical deaths per day, 50 deaths per hour, almost a death per minute.

And that number that should “adult scare” Mr. Gibson enough to fill his Metrosexual Pampers.
And one for the “Are you shi***** me?” files.

Raw Story Navy Seals 1

And that is why Navy Seals go into combat with a six-pack of pumpkin-spiced kombucha, $100 in coupons for Whole Foods and wearing tie-dyed t-shirts.

And that is why we win.

Update:

Raw Story Navy Seals 2

Well, well, well. Apparently Seal Team Kombucha might be a fraud.

  1. Well they have to try and counter Marcus Luttrel and the numerous other ‘combat vets’ who promote firearm ownership.

Just waiting for some background to come out about the story’s claims. I’m sure it will be entertaining.

  2. This kind of “some ex-military person said Y about guns and we should believe them” BS that comes from the left is infuriating. When Generals McCharystal and Honore came out against civilian ownership of AR style rifles, the left had a field day. It falls in line with when police chiefs and sheriffs come out against gun ownership.

    It’s an appeal to authority”

“Here is some well trained, door kicking, government gun expert to explain why you are too ignorant and stupid to be trusted.” I respect our combat veterans. I know I couldn’t have made it through BUD/S or any other advanced combat training. But I don’t care how many skills tabs you have or how many medals you have pinned to your chest, do not tell me what I can and cannot own and do and do not do in my home and community.

And on a side note. I am very disappointed that a man who trained and fought so hard to defend this country could so easily put down and dismiss the rights of his countrymen.

  3. Well, strictly speaking, his statement taken exactly as it was phrased, was true.

“Stephen Benson first learned during Navy SEAL training that carrying a gun would be more likely to expose him to gun violence.”

Well, no kidding. And I’m more likely to get exposed to water in the shower.

Of course he’s more likely to be exposed to “gun violence” if he’s carrying a gun. He’s a f$%^ing Navy SEAL! He’s supposed to be delivering that violence against the enemies of the US, through the barrel of his gun.

I’d say he’s more than exposed to it. He’s pretty well steeped in it.

  4. Has anyone actually checked to see if this guy has for-real made it through BUD/S? I ask because it wouldn’t be the first time the newsies have published a quote from some goober whose closest pass to wearing a uniform was playing Call of Duty.

  5. Every time I see liberals bring up health care, I see them conflate health insurance with health care.

I have a better chance of getting health care (and good health care at that) when I pay out of pocket than I do going with one of the ACA’s failure-plans(my dentist’s office loves me, actually). And it’ll be cheaper in both the short and the long-run, too.

I don’t care whether or not I have health insurance. I want to get high-quality health care.

  6. I also love the juxtaposition the antis are doing.

“Don’t you know that even combat vets are too stupid to carry guns for their own self defense on posts targeted for terrorist attack!”

Coupled with “We found an anti-gun combat vet! RESPECT HIS ATHORITAH!!!”

Which is it antis….also do they really want to get into a dick measuring contest when it comes to how combat vets feel about small arms?

I can dredge up dozens of CCW holders who always carry when legal who have combat experience.

    1. There’s a funny thing that typically happens when the Left tries to find pet Veterans to backstop their various causes. They tend to pick Stolen Valor frauds and fakes, stick them on a podium, and then have to retract the stories of outrage.
My belief is that the Left has no generalized experience with the Military, they don’t know when a boot camp dropout or undistinguished POG is pulling their leg. Or, because they’re predisposed to believe that the military is full of thugs, psychos, rapist, or other bad, bad, bad people, they will snap up any atrocity tale that comes along.
