A week ago Sunday, I paid $3.29 for gas. Yesterday, the cheapest I found was $3.99. Many places were at $4.09. I live in a rural area. It’s a long drive to church or to the doctor. We don’t have extra room in the budget with all the other inflation. We don’t own electric or hybrid cars. Most people on the lower end of the income spectrum don’t. Don’t tell me to move to the city. I moved away from the city because I couldn’t afford to live there, among many other reasons. So I don’t want to hear some celebrity talking about making a sacrifice for Ukraine. That is up there with Nan in her mansion and commercial freezer full of expensive ice cream saying “We’re all in this together.” We are not. We never have been. Let the oil flow, Joe. Being energy independent doesn’t hurt Ukraine, but I’d say it would put a dent in Putin’s budget.
Aw man you have to give the address of that cheap gas! Costs more than that even in Florida!

That’s going to become more important as we start making inflation corrections for each new week or even every day.
