At the end of the day, I went with the SIG Whiskey3, 4-12X40mm BDC-1 and the SIG rings.

Some of you had recommended to go that magnification and then I got a fantastic deal directly from SIG Optics for both well under the $200 limit and I could not pass that up.

And no the scope is not properly mounted. I just set it for pic purposes and I will have my BiL do the dirty work sometime next week…. well, he did volunteer of sorts.

Report to follow.

  1. Thats the Rotary Mag weapon correct?

    If so…
    Get yourself afew xtra mags!!!
They are to much for what they are,…. but.

With those guns, the Rotary Mag is the weakest link.
    The spring likes to blowout.

People say this all the time but…

    Trust me.
Do some digging,i think you will confirm my ….thoughts

Also make sure your scope rail is tightened down.
They…forget sometimes at the factory to Fully Tighten them down

      1. As soon as you realize that a 10 round AICS mag is essentially a, figuratively, feet long piece of plastic that likes to snag on stuff. Then you quietly switch to the 5 round variant and say to yourself that you don’t need more ammunition because your confident of your shot placement 😛

I know, I also use the AICS in my hunting rifle. Truth be told, instead of spare ammunition I carry a fully loaded 10rd mag in my pocket and the 5rd in the gun 😀

  2. If that actually is a BDC scope, what caliber round and bullet weight is it ‘calibrated’ for? And how many clicks per MOA?

  3. Now that is a setup to make two and four footed targets take notice.
The BDC reticule is not set up for any specific caliber.

Shoot your chosen load to see which holdovers work for you.
Stayed within budget so good on you.

The recommendation of a 5 round and a 10 round mag is a good one.
A set of flip up scope caps is a good choice also.

Get the trigger to 4.5 to 5 pounds and you will be all set.

If you are in the Houston TX area I have access to a private range with rifle out to 300 yards and there is a public range with rifle out to 600 yards on the NW side of town..
Contact me and we can burn some powder.
