But you could save this by buying a highly overpriced, highly polluting electric car that needs microchips that are not being manufactured, even for the regular gas-powered vehicles as told by government officials that pretend to transport themselves and their Wish.com progeny in bikes, but have SUV filled with armed men to pick up or deliver them a couple of blocks away from the Propaganda Media.

This whole regime is a clown show.
There were a few German “green” politicians that pulled the same stunt. Allegedly driving their bicycle all the way to the workplace but parked just a few blocks away with their SUV, pulling the bike out of the trunk.
They all were filmed doing so. They never learn and why should they? It still works.
Wow. The difference in your cash and debit/credit prices is only two cents per gallon?
It’s a dime here. There’s some variation — at one station it’s a quarter — but always at least 10 cents.
I get why they do it; the debit/credit transaction processing firms charge for the privilege of using cards, and the businesses have to keep prices low to compete; hence the two pricing schemes.
But that transaction charge is about 35 cents per swipe; it’s covered with most fill-ups by a 2-3 cent-per-gallon up-charge. At a quarter per gallon, the first two gallons more than covers it. Even at today’s prices, “Gimme five bucks of regular” will mostly cover it.
(To be clear, all retailers get charged for card-payment services. Other companies average it out over all their goods and amortize it over all their customers, so they don’t make it a separate, visible line item. But most fuel purchases are just fuel, nothing else. And everyone likes cash; it’s good everywhere, and doesn’t take 2-3 days to process payment.)
Yep climbing 5 to 10 cents a day here…and now with the announcement of no Russian oil, I expect the trend to accelerate.
Took a road trip over the weekend with the family. Friday, filled up for $3.59/Gal. Drove across Florida, noting that gas was going for $4.39/Gal in the middle of the state and asked my wife to remind me to fill up before coming back. Filled up on Sunday for the return trip. Gas was $3.89. When we got back to Tampa on Sunday, gas was $4.19 and today it is up to $4.59 in most places.
So basically, it went up a dollar in the past 5 days. Diesel is now pushing $5.50/gallon.
We are so screwed…
