Good thing that the attack happened in Dallas. There was no justification for drawing the pistol as that Supremacist of Color was not presenting a deadly threat.

How many times should he let himself be punched, or kicked, before resorting to deadly force? Just because that thing did not have a gun or knife visible, doesn’t mean it didn’t have one. And in case you’re unaware, one punch can kill. The only mistake the armed gentleman made was NOT putting a round in its’ head as soon as it broke through the door. If you’re gonna skin it, best use it.
I’m general, fists are not viewed as deadly force in the eyes of the law. I’m not saying that it can’t be at least in this circumstance. Stating that the assailant _might_ have a deadly weapon also will not play well in court.

If the employee had shot the woman the narrative would have been “racist store owner shoots innocent black woman”. And she’d be deified as a “din do nothin” martyr. And riots would be started in her name starting with the burning down of this store.
That’s the fundamental problem these days. Thugs committing a crime are given victim status even if they’re just reaping the consequences for their shit decision making.
