I’d love to see a Federal law that says, basically, if you knowingly lie in a federally sourced document, you can be tried for perjury. If you didn’t knowingly lie, but put in something that was demonstrably false with, say, less than 5 minutes of research, you’re fired and your pension is gone.

That also means, by the way, that everyone who ever worked on the document. if there’s more than one author, it’s by definition a racketeering charge on top.

Miguel, essentially what you’re asking for is, as L. Neil Smith phrased it, “enforcing the Constitution as what it is, the Supreme Law of the Land”. Because it is trivially obvious to anyone who can read plain English words that the ATF is utterly and completely unconstitutional.
