President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump went to Texas today because of the hurricane and flooding in the Houston area.

Two media outlets that I am aware of – there may be more – did OpEds on the First Lady’s shoes.  Apparently the First Lady started her day out in high heels.

First Vogue commented with this Melania Trump’s Hurricane Stilettos, and the White House’s Continual Failure to Understand Optics.

The Washington Post published this There was no pretense about Melania Trump’s heels. But sometimes, a little pretense helps.

Who are these articles for?  Yeah, we know the media hates all things Trump.  Did they write these for themselves, as sort of a masturbatory exercise in Trump hate?  Or is the intention to convince us in Trump country that Trump looks down on us?

If it is the latter, it’s a swing an a miss.

I’ve heard of Madison Avenue.  That is where the fancy shopping is in New York City.  There is a Saks there, I think.  I’ve never heard of La Grenouille.  It turns out it is The in style French Restaurant in NYC right now.  It serves lunch and dinner at fuck you prices.

I had to look up Manolos and Louboutins.  Both are fashion designers who are as foppishly, flamboyantly, idiosyncratically, gay and European as to make Talladega Nights look like a documentary.

Both also happen to be brands of shoes  that cost somewhere between a new truck payment and a mortgage payment.

This type of criticism of Trump might as well be “Did you see Trump and Melania drinking the 2012 Jadot Louis Le Montrachet Grand Cru Chardonnay with their Wagyu au Poivre?  How gauche!”

This type of horseshit commentary superficial and condescending at the same time.

For the great swath of Americans that live outside of walking distance from 5th Avenue, the first concern they have about shoes is affording them for their kids.

For the Trump voters I know, and who are good people, their regular non-kid shoe buying experience is what is available from the company shoe truck this year.

I say this with the deepest sincerity.  I don’t give a fuck about the shoes the First Lady wears.  She used to be a fashion model.  She wears stilettos for a living.  If you caught me outside the gym, there is a good chance I’m going to be in composite toe boots that an employer bought me.  It is what I am used to.

Media: “The first lady wore fancy designer shoes to your disaster area.  Aren’t you mad?”

America: “My house got washed away and you want me to give a shit about Trump’s wife’s shoes?  Fuck you and the first class seat you flew in on!”

If these people were any further up their own ass they would disappear into a singularity.

I wanted to sit last night out from blogging.   I was overwhelmed by the horrible shit people were saying about Texas last night.  Twitchy covered some of it but I saw people on the periphery of my social media echoing the same crap. 

Then catastrophe in Berkeley, and in was done. 

I needed to sign off for an evening and recover from the lack of humanity I was witnessing.

I am a dog person.   I speak dog.  My wife could tell you about my magic dog powers.

I have friends who have service dogs.  They are all veterans.   One had suicidal ideation.   He came home with a TBI and shortly after that his girlfriend was killed.  If it weren’t for his service dog, he might not be alive today.  

Service dogs are invaluable to the veterans that have and need them and help with recovery from PTSD with less medication.

Did this worthless pile of shit in a Black Panthers shirt bring her service dog to a protest where it was probably terrified and could easily have gotten hurt?

If so, I am done trying to preserve the remnants of my milk of human kindness.  

I hope she dies in custody and her dog is adopted by a family that will really love it and treat it well.

The Daily Kos published an article titled Hurricane Harvey poised to disproportionately impact blacks in Texas, but no one is talking about it.

Yeah, they did that.  Who would have through that a hurricane could be racist and target black people in Texas.  Of course, to the Daily Kos, the big problem isn’t just racist hurricanes, but that people doing the hand wringing over the hurricane are doing enough hand wringing specifically for black Texans.

It would not be inaccurate to take the Daily Kos headline and change it up a little bit Hurricane Harvey poised to disproportionately impact chemical engineers in Texas, but no one is talking about it.

A more accurate news headline would be Hurricane Harvey poised to disproportionately impact Texans in high population dense cities.  

Millions of people are going to be affected by Harvey for a long time, but according to the Daily Kos, fuck those white people in Texas, we are only going to care about the black ones.

Leaving Texas behind for a moment, lets head over to Colorado, where some special snowflake wrote just about the worse opinion ever for publication ever, this time in a campus newsletter: Veterans should be banned from four-year universities.

This one is so bad I swear if I didn’t look it up I would have thought it was a Poe’s Law parody.  It states:

A four-year, traditional university is supposed to be a place of learning, of understanding, of safety and security. However, there is an element among us who may be frustrating those goals: Veterans.

Really?  How so?

First off, many veterans openly mock the ideas of diversity and safe spaces for vulnerable members of society.

This I fully believe.  When you have been shot at, a safe space is hard cover, not a room full of crayons and Play-Doh.

This is directly in contradiction to the mission of UCCS. Many veterans utter the mantra that they, “do not see color”.

True.  I seem to remember a mantra I heard from a Marine, “Marines come in only one color: Green.”

But the problem lies in their socialization into the military culture that is that of a white supremacist organization. They have been permanently tainted, and are no long fit for a four-year university.

Here we bank HARD LEFT.  This is nothing but anti-American/anti-Military hatred.

Second, many students are frightened by the presence of veterans in their classrooms.

That is their problem.  Just like with campus carry, it is the over reaction of the safe space crowd that is the problem.

Veterans usually have an overwhelming presence in the classroom, which can distract other students. This is usually true for vulnerable individual such as LGBTQQI2SAA, who have been known to be the butt of insensitive jokes made by veterans.

Anybody who uses more than ‘LGBT’ opinion is invalid.  That’s the mark of an irrational Social Justice Warrior.

Finally, veterans usually are associated with extremists right-wing groups such as the tea party and the NRA. In order to provide a safe place for all students, extremist right-wing groups must be suppressed on campus. This would include their followers: veterans.

Oh no, extremist Right Wing groups like… the Tea Party and the NRA.  Just law abiding citizens who want to be left alone with minimal taxation and their civil liberties intact.  How fucking awful.  What Nazi monsters.

That is not to say that veterans should not be allowed an education. Veterans should be allowed to attend trade schools, or maybe even community college. But, in order to protect our academic institutions we must ban veterans from four-year universities.

That is the most condescending fucking bullshit I have ever read.  First, it supposes that  a vocational or trade education is some sort of second class education – a consolation prize for the peons.  Second it over inflates the value of a four year degree, many of which (looking at you Liberal Arts and anything that ends in “studies”) are worthless.  Lastly, it undervalues the importance of skills in society.

This last statement could be reworded to “Veterans are garbage people who aren’t good enough for our ivory tower and should be relegated to menial tasks for a living.”

I could go on a long tirade here about how working in industry, I have more use for one person with an Associates in Machining than all the BA’s in Women and Gender Studies in the world (really, as a mathematical certainty), but I won’t.

Mike Rowe of Dirty Jobs fame has an entire foundation dedicated to expanding the industrial arts and showing how valuable they are to society.

This has made him a target of other snowflakes.  One accused him of being a white supremacist.

“One of the tenants of white nationalism is that college educated people are academic elitests. Comment? No? I’m not surprised. You never take a political stand because you don’t want to alienate anybody. Its bad for business. I get it. But there is a current of anti intellectualism in this country – promoted by Republicans. Let’s see if I get this straight.  One snowflake says that veterans are bad and shouldn’t be allowed into colleges because are for the elite and veterans hurt sensitive LGBT feelings and should only go to trade schools.  A professor says all republicans are “racist scum” and another says “all white people should die“.  Then a second snowflake says guy who supports trade schools is a white nationalist because white nationalists are stupid people who think college is for elite people.

Seems like the Left has made up it’s mind that only Leftists deserve four year degrees and anything other than a four year degree in Identity Politics is the brand of a Nazi.

I while ago I made a post called They Need Jesus and another called Heathens, both of which touched on the progressive church of state.  The Left has replaced Judeo-Christian religion with politics in their own lives.  They believe in government the way the faithful believe in god.

I think this tweet by Senator Chris Murphy illustrates that like no other.

To any reasonable person, that is complete bullshit.  A sick child, a family member having difficult personal problems, the death of a loved one, how are any of these, or a million other vexations in life solved by political action?  Of course, they are not.

I wanted to touch on this idea again on the topic of the destruction of monuments and statues.

Others have commented on Antifa being like ISIS in their destruction of monuments.  They have no idea how right they are.

ISIS destroys statues for two reasons: they represent a faith other than Islam and they are idolatry, which is expressly forbidden in Islam.  Islam is a totalitarian faith that allows no expressions of any other faith in the land it controls.  It is a religious duty for Muslims to destroy religious idols.

Vice made the argument that we should Get rid of Mt. Rushmore, because the is:

“[S]uspicious of are monuments produced by the state, which tend to flatten out nuances and turn flawed individuals into tools of propaganda that bolster a kind of religious patriotism.”

This is the same writer that described the Washington Monument as “George Washington’s phallus towering over everything in DC.”  Because making a dick joke out of the Washington Monument is barely 8th grade humor, forgetting the obelisk as a monument dates back to ancient Egypt.

His idea of “religious patriotism” is projection.  The cherry tree story about Washington is OK for kids, but adults are supposed to understand the truth about history.  Our founders, like every other human on Earth, were flawed.

Why build monuments to them?  Because we understand that some men seized a moment or rose to an occasion and did something that changed the course of history.  We owe it to ourselves to remember that.

For the faithful in the church of state a monument is more than a reminder, it is an idol.   They fashion the politicians they support into figures of greatness.

Hillary as an unstoppable giant and a world unto herself.

Because these people engage regularly in political idolatry, they assume the rest of us do to.

They see monuments to Washington, Jefferson, Lincoln, even Confederate leaders and assume they are there for us to worship and fawn over.

They cannot stand to see them because they are literally idols of another faith.

The belief system of these Leftist and of ISIS isn’t just similar, it is identical.

They must purge the idols and symbols of all competing faiths from the areas that they control.

San Francisco is a shit hole.  Literally.  There are so many homeless people and drug addicts attracted to the Bay Area because of its Liberal policies towards these things that the streets of San Francisco are a minefield of human shit and used hypodermic needles.

It is so bad that a Silicon Valley type has created an interactive map app to help people avoid high shit areas of the city.

Drowning a once beautiful city in human shit is not enough for the Progressives of the Bay.  They have to ruin one of few beautiful natural places in the city with dog shit.   Literally.

Crissy Field was an airfield that has been turned into a nature preserve under the control of the National Park Service as part of the Golden Gate National Recreation Area.

A right of center organization, Patriot Prayer, which has publicly denounced white supremacism, got permission to have a free speech rally at the National Park.  At least the Federal Government still respects the 1st Amendment in California.

Bay Area progressive tyrants were unable to stop the Park Service from issuing a permit so are going nuclear.  They are salting the earth, so to speak, with dog shit.   They are saving up their dog shit to take to the beach and spread it around, on purpose, to make the beach so disgusting that Patriot Prayer will leave.

This is vile beyond belief.  

Sodom and Gomorrah had all the same buggery and perversion but I don’t remember anything about thrm spreading shit around on purpose.  

It is time for “the Big One” to hit the Bay and wash it out to sea. 

The Overton Window is a political concept that says there is a certain range of beliefs that the majority of voters find palatable or acceptable.  For a politician to be viable, he or she has to be in the Overton Window.  Stray to far in either direction outside of the Window and a politician will lose support among the mainstream.  The diagram below is a good visual of this concept.

A candidate like Bernie Sanders was pushing the edge of the Overton Window with his advocacy of socialism.  His idea were popular with some and radical with others.

The Overton Window works nationally as well as locally.  This sometimes results in conflict.  The Overton Window for gun control in New York and California is very far from where it sits in Middle America.  A politician advocating for gun bans and restrictions that are popular in NYC or San Francisco is unthinkable in Alabama and Texas.

It’s why a kindergarten class in California can have a transgender coming out party for one of its students and the teachers think that is sensible and the parents completely freak out.

This is a useful concept to understand.  Occasionally pundits will discuss attempts to move the Overton Window in an attempt to make less popular ideas more popular.

The deep thinkers (the English language really needs irony punctuation) over at The Hill want to blame the election of Donald Trump on the right deliberately shifting the Overton Window on discourse.

What I have  not heard is a discussion the deliberate attempt to move the Overton Window in relation to what is going on with the protests, riots, and destruction of monuments by the Left.

After Leftists destroyed Confederate monuments Trump asked if we were going to destroy monuments to George Washington next.

Let us be clear about this: THAT IS THE ENTIRE GOD DAMN POINT!

Step 1: make the wholesale destruction of anything related to the Confederacy acceptable because slavery.

Step 2: update the Jefferson Memorial in Washington DC to mention that Jefferson owned slaves, and mandate that professors teach that Jefferson was a white supremacist at the University of Virginia, which he founded.

Step 3: erase the monuments to Jefferson all together.

Step 4: erase his body of works – the principles enshrined in the Deceleration of Independence and the founding of this nation.

Step 5: repeat for all the other founders.

It is already being done to George Washington in Social Justice social media.

Mayor and corrupt piece of shit Bill de Blasio is considering taking down the statue of Columbus in NYC.

A leading thought by Leftist antisemites is that Israel has no legitimate right to exist.  They say that the land was stolen from the Palestinians by the British and given to the Jews because of European guilt about the Holocaust and that it shouldn’t have ever been founded.  Forget that Jews have lived there for 5,000 years and had several Kingdoms in the region, it is an illegitimate state.

I truly believe that everything the Left is doing right now is to move the Overton Window of Americas illegitimacy into the mainstream of the left of center crowd.

Turn Columbus, Jefferson, Washington and others into nothing but genocidal, white supremacist, slave traders and America suddenly is not the shining city on the hill but a North American version of Israel or Rhodesia.  An illegitimate colonial state that should be done away with, like they did to Rhodesia and want to do with Israel.

The Left couldn’t win the presidency and rule America so they are going to absolutely destroy her.

The other day, in a post I talked about a man in Colorado that was stabbed in the hand and claimed that the attacker said “Are you one of them neo-Nazis?” before stabbing him.  The cause of the attack was presumably triggered because the man was wearing a high fade haircut, which is being associated with the alt-right.

Another similar story has hit my wire.

A man in Vermont, Sam Wormer, claimed that he was stabbed after being doxed after saying that it was wrong for the internet mob to dox, get fired, and call child protective services on someone he knew who was shown carrying a torch in a Vice news report on the Charlottesville protest.

Wormer claimed that he didn’t support Nazi or white supremacist views, but didn’t think that an internet mob trying to destroy his former classmate’s life was right either.

“Wormer said Roy and his family welcomed him into their home for Thanksgiving dinner in 2006, when the two were close friends. They lost touch about two years ago, Wormer said, except for a brief interaction last September when Roy shared that he would soon become a father,” the Free Press reported.

The paper added that “Wormer strongly disagreed with Roy’s views but did not support efforts to get Roy fired or to call the Vermont Department for Children and Families in an attempt to remove his child. Wormer said such efforts would lead to more anger.”

“Taking away somebody’s job and livelihood — I mean, that’s just adding fuel to the fire,” Wormer said. “I don’t think any good is going to come of this on anybody’s side.”

Apparently, trying to be the voice of reason and compassion was insufficient for the internet social justice mob, who decided he must pay in blood for his thoughtcrime.

I want to keep an eye on this to make sure it is not a hoax, but it seems to fit a growing pattern.  If you are not a member of the extreme ultra-Left social justice mob, you are assumed to be a Nazi sympathizer and one of their enemies.

If this turns out to be true and this trend continues, god help us.  It means that they can and will target anybody.  If you are not actively stabbing a “Nazi” they will try and stab you.
