A sign on the door of the Azana Salon & Spa in Brookfield bans those entering from carrying concealed weapons. That means customers or employees who were following the law would be barred from having weapons. Radcliffe Haughton entered the salon Sunday and killed his wife and two other women and shot four others before killing himself.

God bless the Florida Legislature for making those signs superfluous.
Those “signs” just notifiy the wolves that the flock is not protected. 🙁
Here in Iowa, the signs are pretty much meaningless. All they can do is ask you to leave. If you refuse, they can call the PD, who ask you to leave. Only if you refuse to leave at the PD’s request can you be cited for trespass. It carries the weight of a traffic ticket.

I ignore those “Potential Victims Only Here” signs, I’m even armed when I go to my bank and especially when I go to a 7-11.

All of the law-abiding citizens who naturally obey the signage were unarmed.
The criminal SOB did not have to obey it because criminals, by definition, disobey laws.
That would mean that the blood is primarily on the hands of the criminal, but at least some of it splattered onto the hands of gun control advocates. Due to their pro-active calls for silly, useless, impotent or counter-productive laws, they share some culpability when the unintended consequences, like this situation, arise.
After I get my CCW permit, it is the same thing about trespass in my state. I will put on my “big boy pants” which are required when going armed and I will ignore these signs. So, I guess I will join the ranks of those who routinely break our minor laws, such as we do with speeding. That is the extent of it though.

yep. I have some cards to give the managers of such places. They simply state no guns = no money. I found them on the net and printed them off on standard business card stock.
I believe the Mall next door got “Locked Down”. Being locked in a Mall with a crazy gunman and unarmed…..Nahaaaaa…… 🙂
This morning I tweeted Collin Goddard about the salon being a “Gun Free Zone”. I asked him how it was possible for the perp to get a gun in there. I still haven’t heard back…..
