From The Daily Mail:

Ellie Goulding threatens to pull out of Salvation Army Thanksgiving gig unless they make LGBTQ pledge after fans accused the Christian charity of being bigoted

Oh for fuck’s sake.

Ellie Goulding is still set to perform at the Dallas Cowboys vs Buffalo Bills game on Thanksgiving Day, after threatening to back out following a backlash from fans.

Last Thursday, the British singer was announced as the halftime act for the sports event the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.

But a subsequent social media post about her work with sponsor, The Salvation Army’s Red Kettle Campaign, ended with her giving the Christian charity an ultimatum.

Who the fuck is she to do that?

After sharing pictures of herself helping feed homeless Americans in New York on Tuesday, one Instagram follower commented: ‘I am inspired by her work but this really isn’t it.’

Another said: ‘A little disappointed considering the salvation army has a long standing history of anti lgbtq+ rhetoric. i appreciate the positive things they do but there are other, better organizations that don’t discriminate against others.’

Yep, it’s time to cancel Christians who feed the homeless.  They are the real threat to society.

Goulding commented: ‘Upon researching this, I have reached out to The Salvation Army and said that I would have no choice but to pull out unless they very quickly make a solid, committed pledge or donation to the LGBTQ community.

Upon researching what exactly?  The Salvation Army does not deny LGBT poor or homeless their services.  It simply, according to Christian principles, states that “The Salvation Army teaches that sexual acts should take place only in a monogamous heterosexual marriage, believing that this reflects God’s intentions for sexual behaviour and provides the best environment for raising children.”

Welcome to the new standard where thoughtcrime is discrimination.  The Salvation Army doesn’t full throatedly endorse the LGBT lifestyle so it’s a bigoted organization.

‘I am a committed philanthropist as you probably know, and my heart has always been in helping the homeless, but supporting an anti-LGBTQ charity is clearly not something I would ever intentionally do. Thank you for drawing my attention to this.’

Goulding isn’t a “committed philanthropist.”  She’s a narcissistic celebrity worth more than $20 million, who does an annual benefit concert.

The Salvation Army’s Red Kettle campaign money provides “25 million people throughout the year with more than 56 million meals and 10 million nights of shelter.”  That’s committed philanthropy.

Goulding wants to throw a wrench into that because a bunch of butt-hurt, anti-Christian Social Justice activists are made the Salvation Army still belives in traditional Christian sexual morality.

The campaign, which begins on Thanksgiving Day and runs through Christmas Eve, is the largest and longest-running fundraiser of its kind and it raised $142.7million in 2018.

I have an idea, how about a bunch of drag queens go out and raise $142.7 million for homeless services.  Then they can start making demands of a charity that does.

Oh wait, they are too busy telling elementary school children that women have penises.

Social Justice never builds anything up.  It is a radical Leftist mentality and radical Leftism never builds anything but death camps and prisons.

Dekulakization is the model of the radical Left.  Identify a group of undesirables, state that those undesirable and are victimizing the in-group, and then destroy them.

The Salvation Army is not harming LGBT Americans and does in fact provide services to LGBT Americans who come to their shelters.  But that’s the problem.  Good Christians doing good charitable Christian work doesn’t make the Leftist LGBT feel like victims, so the Salvation Army has to go.

I take back what I said yesterday.

Maybe some of the vagrants in Los Angeles and San Francisco need to start dumping buckets of liquid shit on Leftist LGBT activists.

Maybe that will motivate them to reach into their own pockets and provide homeless services, rather than just cancel the Salvation Army because victim status.

I bet a lot of money could be raised by doing a Pay-Per-View of some homeless person dumping a bucket of hot liquid shit over some narcissistic Leftist celebrity.

  1. The Salvation Army does not, in any way, need celebrity endorsements. In fact, they might be better off without them if this is the response they get.

  2. The Salvation Army is much too polite, but they should tell her to go eff herself. I don’t know if this is a volunteer thing she’s doing for publicity or if she expects to get paid, but no sing no pay. She just cancelled her contract.

  3. Salvation Army is one of the few charities I will donate to, because I know my money will be used for what it was intended for, not to pad some fat cat administrator’s bank account.

    Hell, I’m in!

I might even subscribe, again, to cable, IF and only if they carried that channel!

  5. Latest out of Dallas is that she will be going ahead with the concert, as the Sally declined to cave. I told my wife that if she did end of bailing on the concert this could turn into a real Chik-Fil-A moment for the Sally; donations would explode.

  6. If I watch that, it will be for the game. I don’t even know who she is and couldn’t care less. Stay in England, As someone else said, I’m sure I would rather watch the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders perform than hear her.

I am tolerant of other people, but there’s a big difference between being tolerant and having their way of life and thinking forced down my throat. It’s time to stand up and say enough is enough.

I am entitled to my opinions and beliefs just as much as any LBGQT. Because I don’t agree with them, does not make me homophobic or bigoted or anything else someone chooses to call me. It just means I don’t agree with, support, or condone their lifestyle.

Only one rule: Don't be a dick.
