Castle Rock voters have taken away the town manager’s power to restrict the open carry of firearms in public buildings and parks, while insisting that any future decisions on gun restrictions in town of 50,000 go to a vote of the people.

  1. If by, “authority to restrict firearms” you mean “within their own household”, I’d agree.
    But NO ONE has the right to restrict firearms community-wide. Not a simple majority, not property owners, not a lynch-mob. I retain the right to keep and bear arms, no matter who doesn’t like it.
