Coalition to Stop Gun Violence: Screw the Native Americans

These people are so out there, there is no Greyhound service that covers the area of what passes for their brain. Via The Examiner

The Coalition to Stop Gun Violence, who called themselves the National Coalition to Ban Handguns, until they decided that they also want so-called “assault weapons” banned, is very fond of accusing gun rights advocates of “racism”–but apparently not at all fond of presenting evidence for these charges, judging by the fact that they almost never do (almost as if they have no evidence). They have, in fact, dismissed pro-rights arguments on the grounds that the person articulating those arguments is white. White=wrong, apparently, although their “About Us” page and “Meet the CSGV Stafff” video certainly appear to be on the pale side.

They also paint a picture of volunteer border security “Minuteman” organizations as “vigilante” hate groups.

That’s why it came as something of a shock to this correspondent that during a Twitter debate, CSGV took the bizarre position that one cannot argue that the seizure by conquest of the North American continent from Native Americans (perhaps with the morally egregious aid of biological warfare) was morally wrong, without being “oppose[d to] the founding of this nation.” Thinking that this was too crazy a position even for CSGV, I sought clarification:

Here is the screencap of the exchange with the blessing of fellow “Inusrrectionist” Kurt Hoffman :

CSGV Indian confiscation lands

No, he is not kidding. We are talking about the same group that had no problem with mass incarcerations of US Citizens based on religious or ethnic issues.

About the “dialogue” and the “common sense measures” they want us to take? They don’t sound that “reasonable” to me. It is more like “We will kill you for the betterment of this nation.”

Holstering a sidearm: Keep your finger off the trigger and be slow about it.

I was informed yesterday of a ND with accompanying four holes & self-induced blood-letting that happened in a local range. The incident occurred when the shooter was holstering a loaded weapon during training.

Holstering is possibly one of the most dangerous maneuvers in pistol handling because the handgun will be manipulated very close to the body, specially after we have done some shooting and the adrenaline is still flowing. Knowing so, please memorize this:

THERE ARE NO EXTRA BROWNIE POINTS FOR FAST HOLSTERING A GUN.

If you are done shooting, you have all the time in the world to holster your weapon safely. We practice and practice trying to achieve the perfect gun handling to the point we don’t have to think about it and it becomes second nature and that is fine. But we do need to stop and think SLOW when holstering.

A fellow bald-headed shooter who lives in Keys (Yeah Dodge, that’s you) may strike you as overly-theatrical if you see him loading/unloading and holstering a weapon. You can say that his technique is full of “dramatic pauses” but he is consciously making sure that every step is correct and safe. He might look silly, but guess what? I don’t think he will have a Negligent Discharge and ballistic body piercing in his future.

Check this video of Rob Pincus and notice his finger at all times when he is not shooting.

Holstering safely is just like drawing your gun but backwards and slow. Practice at home with an unloaded weapon and remember to keep that muzzle away from your body. If you have a holster that forces you to aim your gun at any part of your body, you may want to dump it and find something safe.

George Zimmerman’s girlfriend wants to drop charges …Oy! The Drama!

Via Legal Insurrection:

George Zimmerman’s girlfriend wants to drop charges

5. During the argument, George and I exchanged words l.u. the heat of the moment and we were in very close proximity in a relatively small room. George never pointed a gun at or toward my face in a threatening manner.
6. I want to be with George. I contacted George’s attorney to ask if there was any way that the stay away order can be lifted so that we can talk and be together. I am not afraid of George any manner and I want to be with him.
7. I do not want George Zimmerman charged. I make this decision freely, knowingly and voluntarily, without any intimidation coercion or undue influences. Neither George Zimmerman nor anyone on his behalf bas threatened me or coerced me or subjected me to any undue influences.

Lessons to be learned: Some women are crazy & are attracted to anything that can make them famous. I said it once: George needs to move to Alaska and be off radar for at least a year. I might understand that after being targeted as the worst person in the world, one might fall for a pretty face saying kind words that may soothe you…but better be a bit paranoid and stay the hell away from everybody.
