I figure Yellow Freight and ATF are going to be seeing a lot of each other. I lost a link with more info, but basically 50 guns are gone including prototypes and several with Serial Number #0000001.
Oh! And Charter Arms paid $15,000 for the booth. ..which is empty save some catalogs.

If this is true, it sounds like someone at the warehouse has some splainin to do.
“Charter Arms exhibitor Nick Ecker stated, “Yellow Freight told us that four crates were delivered and signed for. We told them that the shipment was 4+1, and provided the tracking number of the missing crate. That crate was delivered to an off-site warehouse and signed for, but it never made it to the show floor. No one knows where it is, and Yellow Freight insists it’s not their problem.”

Ugh.
If there are in fact signed receipts that trace back to the designated delivery location Charter may regret that notice.

UPS once ‘lost’ a package that contained my Dragunov. They gave me the same lines and to fill out a claim form until I told them the package contained a firearm and I was going to hang up and call the ATF to report a theft at their facility.
5 min. later they called back and said they found the package and it was at the shop an hour after that.

It’s now Day 2 of the snafu.
Interestingly, only AD’s report shows up in the search engines. Counting you (GFZ) I’ve found two (2) other places where the incident is mentioned.

I am guessing most everybody was too tired to update their blogs after a full day at the Meeting. I got my info via a Facebook post not from AD…he was the link I lost.
I spent most of my adult life in the transportation industry. Both as a tech and a driver. This doesn’t surprise me in the least. You can go to most major truck stops on the weekends and buy just about anything you can imagine. Since there are criminals in every industry, it’s not unbelievable that someone knew what was in the crate and it was marked to “disappear”. I’d almost bet money that it will never be found.
Note to self: Do not use Yellow Freight. They apparently steal guns.
