Semi-retired like Vito Corleone before the heart attack. Consiglieri to J.Kb and AWA. I lived in a Gun Control Paradise: It sucked and got people killed. I do believe that Freedom scares the political elites.

  1. This one caught my eye.

“Sheila Anne Exactly, Elisabeth. I think FFLs look the other way since there’s really no downside for them. Even if they’re caught funneling to drug dealers, they get to keep their license and stay in business.”

I don’t know where she gets her info except maybe pulling it out of her ass. As a dealer, I have to account for every gun that comes through my shop. Failure to follow the law is 5 years in the federal pen and a 250,000 dollar fine. There are some bad dealers out there and when they are caught, the first thing they do is suspend their licence.

I know where the nut case got his gun. I saw Wayne LaPierre give it to him, free. Because we all know that the NRA wants to arm every criminal in the country.

Of course this one is special too.

“Edward Mcfadden Jr These illegal guns are coming from right here in our own country, there not coming from other countries, we need to stop kidding ourselves, guns are almost as big as drugs, and the NRA knows this and they dont care who buys them, as long as there is a demand they will sell them all day.”

Really? When did the NRA get into the gun selling business? I’ve never received a offer to buy a gun directly from the NRA.

The absolute stupidity of some (most) of these commenter’s is astounding. There was even one spouting the lie about 90% of Mexico’s guns come from the US. A lie that was debunked after Fast and Furious came to light. A lie that was used to get the reporting of multiple rifle sales in the 4 southwestern border states.

And then there was this gem.

“Trudy Beaulieu There is one solution .. transferable liability insurance .. “lost or stolen” guns would see an increase in premiums … start by requiring NRA membership .. it comes with a free insurance .. and extra is available .. this could take the financial burdens off the tax payers for medical and judicial expenses that come from accidents and violence associate with guns .”

Yeah, a lobby with 80 million members. Sounds good to me. The NRA would go from being the 800 pound gorilla in the room to the 80 million pound gorilla. Especially if every member did their civic duty and voted.
