WarLow-Intensity Conflict onto the deck to bark at them and let them know that I also had minions. Then I rustled up a shirt and a shoe, and headed down to the driveway to meet them.

Lagniappe’s Lair is one of my favorite blogs to read (OK, mostly because of the dog stories, we love the dogs, him we sort of deal with, heh heh). He recently had an issue with the local Power Company going Agent Orange on his green stuff and after a major bitching, they sent the right guy to explain which unfortunately is a rarity in today’s world.
Go for the dog stories, stay for the guns and planes.
It’s nice that he got a positive response in any way from them. They came thru our neighborhood and were trimming and cutting the trees, and they left 4 HUGE tree trunk sections blocking my driveway. So I called them and said they needed to come and remove these. The girl on the phone said “well, we don’t have any crews in your area today”. I had replied back asking her to check again, because unsaid was that I had just passed a crew 2 minutes before 2 blocks over. So again said nobody was available, so then I went into my pissed off mode. I make sure not to swear or get personal, having worked in CS for a long time those get you hung up on, but I was very insistent and clear that I was angry, and either their database was wrong or someone was lying to me. Luckily after that call the crew that didn’t exist came over and removed them from my driveway.
Nice site, will add to my rotation.
