On Monday, his last day in office, outgoing embattled New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo (D) reported about 43,400 COVID-19 deaths across the state.
But late Tuesday, Hochul’s administration said the state reported 55,400 fatalities, based on death certificate data submitted to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
Cuomo relied on a reporting system that only collected data for laboratory-confirmed deaths at hospitals, nursing homes and adult care facilities. It did not include people who died at home, in state prisons or in hospice care. It also did not count people with probable cases.
Imagine the cataclysmic shitshow in the Florida and national Media if the Lt Governor of Florida adjusted the numbers to reflect that DeSantis had hidden 12,000 deaths by the Covid virus. Mobs would be at the Governor’s office with torches and pitchforks demanding his head and to burn his body and spread the ashes in the Glades.
Cuomo was forced to resign for an ass grab. He is going to retire with a fat pension and police escort even after his policies killed a shitload of seniors and numbers were fudged.
And you know in a couple of years, he will make a comeback, probably elected as Mayor of NYC.
My prediction is he will be a viable contender for the Demon Party POTUS nomination in 2024. Seriously, he’s no different from Bidet in a lot of ways. And who would have believed “President Biden” two years ago? **

I agree with your thought but I really don’t want to upvote even the the concept of President Cuomo.
Understand completely. It was a painful thought for me as well. My cynicism tends to prevail a lot lately.
