One officer was injured but by strikes because dumb ass critter’s gun jammed and he had to use it as impact weapon. None of the deputies were shot. And yes, dreadlock boy is no longer contributing to global warming with his CO2 emanations.
Lessons learned: Shit happens like this (finger snap) and also, make sure your firearm works properly.

And this is yet another case in the past few years, when a thug engages law enforcement using an AR pistol. Which I think is the main reason that the feds are going after pistol braces. It’s the first step in making compact rifle caliber guns either illegal, or listing them all as SBRs and forcing people to have them registered.

That would be a very bad idea. Just ask the CPD officer Jason Van Dyke. He did a mag dump on an asshole with a knife. Convicted in 2018 of second-degree murder and 16 counts of aggravated battery with a firearm for fatally shooting laQuan McDonald in 2014.

It bothers me that if I shoot a home invader more than twice I get charged with murder, cops shoot somebody 15-100 times and they get a pass, it is bullshit. Pray for a civil war.
