True. Along the same lines, I’ve said several times that the prohibition on deadly force in defense of property badly needs to be abolished. In the meantime, though, knowing the law and sticking to its rules when possible is helpful to avoid personal pain, however good your argument that “the law is an ass”.

I’m thinking both of the participants of this altercation should have taken that lesson to heart.
I was with the guy with the gun right up until he nonchalantly unloaded into the other dude’s back while he was lying on the ground, out of the fight.
Assuming they catch him (and I’m guessing they won’t have much trouble identifying him from this video) I’d say he’s going to pay for his ego with at least 15 years in prison.
Life without parole.
