Could be done though. There have been a few semi-auto revolvers. The Mateba and Webley-Fosbery used the recoil to rotate the cylinder and cock the hammer. Could use a long stroke gas piston on a cam to do the same thing…
Would be single action only… Charing handle to cock the hammer and rotate the cylinder for the first shot… Would have to have internal steel connectors from the cylinder crane to the barrel extension to handle the pressure…
Could be enough room to do a 6 or maybe even 7 shot 500 S&W or .460 S&W…
Would have to build a gas deflector into the cylinder crane to protect the shooter’s forearm from gas jetting from the cylinder gap…
