The Supermarket Chain EDAKA seems to have gotten in into a PR problem with their “humorous” Mother’s Day ad portraying dads as useless and fumbling dunces unable to operate even a blender. The new Sexism is Men being too stupid and only needed to create sperm to maintain the species.
Of course, there is the other view of dads that transcends any other and it comes with a big FU! attached.

Men being clueless yutzes in domestic situations goes back a long, long time in popular culture. I think that there was more than one old Loony Toons from the 40’s that had that as a premise.
Then again, there was an affectionate quality about it earlier, more of a fish out of water situation. Now it’s down right malicious.
