Use of Force: Deletes provisions specifying that person has no duty to retreat & has right to stand his or her ground & meet force with force in certain circumstances.
Here is the text. Not worrying much about it, but it is good to know they are out there.

Duty to retreat, regardless of where the threat happens.
Urban legislators in Florida introduce these bills every year, every year they go down to crushing, overwhelming, Hindenberg-like defeat. 🙂
It’s just pandering to their base. Nothing to worry about.
The vast majority of Floridians appreciate the opportunity to shoot their prospective murderers and rapists without having to worry about going to jail for the rest of their lives because some Jacksonville prosecutor with an eye for higher office manages to cobble together a jackass jury that can be boondoggled by a “he coulda just walked away” narrative.

Who is their base if making it easier for violent criminals is seen as being in their interest?
Just because some cracker swallows the Kool-Aid and believes that SYG really means “Make My Day” does not mean that the way they go about attacking SYG is right, proper, or even intelligent. This appears to IMPOSE a duty to retreat, even when retreat cannot be done in safety.

Anytime I hear someone screaming about SYG, I just point them to this presentation by Masaad Ayoob describing the process and the logic behind it. He does a wonderful job and if they actually watch it, I usually bet silence, or a sputtering but! But! The Children! Trayvon! etc!
