Right-wingers who are buying assault weapons are doing so in order that the weapons be used against US soldiers if the latter goes against the people. So who’s really ‘ anti – American ‘ ?
There was a poll in the late 80s – early 90s where soldiers were asked if ordered to do a house by house search for “X” would they do it. 66% answered that they would not even it it went against superior orders as they would be violating their oath. That would bring the number of armed forces to less than 500,000 or basically a combat ineffective armed services.
I expect the number rejecting such orders even higher now.
