No, it’s not.

The official dessert of the state of Florida is Key Lime Pie.

Cuban style tres leches cake is an acceptable runner up.

Strawberry shortcake is some yankee bullshit from Philadelphia.

Governor DeSantis needs to issue an immediate retraction and correction to this disastrous policy.

  1. Wut?
I mean, I like strawberry shortcake once in a while, but it’s kinda generic, innit?
And if there’s key lime pie on the menu, who needs a fruitberry fluffpuck?
Has DeSantis come down with the same brain damage that seems to be afflicting so many world leaders this year?

  2. Don’t be too hard on DeSantis. He cannot sign a bill that was not passed by the legislature. I am sure he wanted to veto, but knew the idiots running the legislature would override instantly. Just sign it, no one will care in a week.

  3. This wouldn’t have anything to do with it being just about peak of the Florida strawberry season and the Big Strawberry players angling for a little publicity. I’m sure it’s just coincidence.

Read the fine print: does it have an expiration date?

  4. I’m not even from Florida and I know this one!

Besides which, both Key Lime Pie and Tres Leches Cake beat the ever-loving snot out of strawberry shortcake, eight ways from Sunday.

Only one rule: Don't be a dick.
