Armed, plain-clothes LAPD officers were dispatched to California cities outside of Los Angeles at least a dozen times to provide security for U.S. Sen. Kamala Harris at public events, media appearances, and a party.
LA taxpayers paid for airline tickets, hotel stays, car rentals, and meals, according to detailed expense reports obtained by NBC News. The total cost of the trips, not including the officers’ overtime, topped $28,000.

I always find adorable how te Gun Grabbers not only have no problem being surrounded by Good Guys with Guns (after decrying the notion as ludicrous) and enjoy getting their protection via taxpayers’ money who she will not allow to protect themselves.

Since she’s a state officer, why is one particular city paying for her security? California has a state DOJ that could provide her with security (her hypocrisy notwithstanding, security details are prudent for high elected officials; witness Steve Scalise, Huey Long, and Mayor Cermak, among others, in addition to four presidents), and that would spread the costs among the taxpayers of the entire state.
And really, 28 grand is not a lot for travel for a multi-officer security detail, when you figure in hotels, meals, and transportation.

She should live up to her ideals.
She can have a security force, but they shouldn’t carry firearms, or knives greater than 3.5″ long.
She should set the example for the Peons of Alta California.
