No, i agree. As long as they include that a man whose DNA proves he’s not the father, doesn’t have to pay child support, even if he’s been supporting the child previously, and whatever he has paid, must be refunded by the real father and the mother, with interest and penalties.
A guy in Los Angeles was forced to pay child support even though DNA testing said he WASN’T the father.. Judge just said tough noogies, you pay…
Yeah, that’s been a California dodge for a while. As I understand it, the mother can put any name she thinks of on the birth certificate. The ‘father’ then has 90 days to contest it… but there’s no mechanism for notification.
The first realization he might have that something is wrong is when Cali starts garnishing his wages. But by then it’s too late. Even a paternity test won’t get them to change course. The reasoning, of course, is that the bureaucracy has to get the money for the little tyke from somewhere, and they’re not exactly motivated to make sure they have the right guy.

Isn’t this already pretty much the status quo in all 50 states? And they can squeeze you all sorts of ways to make you pay up too; garnishing wages, no hunting/fishing license, etc…
I don’t care what you say, that’s quality entertainment right there!
