Former U.S. Senator Barbara Boxer has been assaulted and robbed in Oakland, her office confirmed in a tweet on Monday.
The incident, which happened at about 1:15 p.m. on Monday, took place near Oakland’s Jack London Square in the 300 block of 3rd St., Oakland police said. No suspect or suspects were in custody.

But seriously, as street crime goes, she got off very lightly.
We used to say a conservative was a liberal who’d been mugged. I guess we’ll find out now.
The big question is what happens if the perp gets caught? Will Chesa Boudin refuse to prosecute because it’s under $950 or will he go medieval because Boxer is a member of the Nomenklatura?
