White people can’t have off for Black Independence Day.
Everything to increase hate and division is their goal.
Two of my forebears fought in the civil war. One in the Union Army and saw Richmond fall, and the other was a Marine. Aren’t they the ones partly responsible for Juneteenth? Not asking for anything, just an acknowledgement in the part “White People” played in making it happen.
Even more than that — the English Navy put an end to ocean-going slave trading. Huge cost to England. The only slave trade that continued was over-land routes from Africa to the muslim nations. Western Civilization put an end to the slave trade.
Wait a second. Hold on here.
The left is clamoring that my skin color, heritage, and culture is somehow oppressive, and I need to elevate the skin color, heritage, and culture of people of color above my own. But, when I do by celebrating the day the last slaves in the USA were freed, I am being a racist?
What am I doing wrong here?

BTW, “last slaves in the Confederate states”, not last slaves in the USA.
I want a t-shirt that celebrates Juneteenth: the day that republicans forced democrats to give up their slaves.
So, by this logic, blacks shouldn’t be celebrating Independence Day in July ’cause the founding was racist?
So confusing for people for whom words have (relatively) fixed definitions.
A) Juneteenth is a congressionally approved message that says black people are not, and never will be, Americans.
B) Yes it does.
