Lawrence Watt-Evans wrote a series of books called “The Lords of Dus” where the King in Yellow is the puppetmaster/quest-giver. I’d be thrilled if the main character showed up in his guise as the avatar of the god of death.

I love all of the replies that are excusing this, even though Obama was all for locking everyone apart to the point where they couldn’t even attend funerals or get chemo.
