I remember when my boss was pregnant a few years ago. She announced her last day was going to be Friday X which was a month in the future. Everything was fine as she waddled around the last few weeks.
She was fine when went home at the end of her normal shift, and four hours later headed to the hospital and delivered a beautiful baby boy. Almost like she scheduled the whole thing.
I think some of it is psychosomatic.
If eating that burger alllows her to believe she will deliver on her schedule? More power to her.
