Semi-retired like Vito Corleone before the heart attack. Consiglieri to J.Kb and AWA. I lived in a Gun Control Paradise: It sucked and got people killed. I do believe that Freedom scares the political elites.

  1. He knows to protect the important stuff.

I knew a guy in the Marines that had a Purple Heart. After you got some beer in him he would tell you where he got shot (both the province and the body part) and a few more he would show you the scar. He was kind of proud that he had been shot in the ass. He said the most embarrassing part was when he was in the hospital and all these nurses were having to change his bandages.

    1. One of the untalked about tragedies from Iraq and Afghanistan is the rate of genital damage young men suffer. Think about it. Any blast that is powerful enough to take off a leg or two mid thigh gets pretty close to the family jewels. There are many young men who have suffered shrapnel damage that has left them with ED, reproductive issues, or incontinence. The groin protector makes it difficult to walk so is usually left behind and doesn’t do much when it comes to explosions anyway. The British and USMC have been issuing kevlar underwear to help this problem but it isn’t enough.

You can laugh at the pic, but imagine going off to war at 18 and coming back unable to use your man bits. How embarrassing is it to talk about that. There is no prosthesis that can really help if you have nerve damage. How do you try to have a normal life after that? Better crotch protection is a necessity.

Good men, too. Every one. And they’ll have a hard time passing their traits and character values on to the next generation.

Unlike “Progressives”, who want the generational welfare culture to sit back, relax, pop out 6-8 kids, vote Democrat, and collect gov’t handouts forever.

Sometimes I think this is by design.

  2. I have long suspected that the loses of the World Wars, especially WWI, are a major factor in the decline of Great Britain
