The UK armed forces “stand ready” to intervene in the knife crime epidemic, the defence secretary has said.

Gavin Williamson said military personnel “would always be ready to respond” to calls for help while the Ministry of Defence “always stands ready to help any government department”.

No request has yet been made, Mr Williamson said during a question-and-answer session on Tuesday night.

He added: “I know that the home secretary is looking very closely at how he can ensure that everything is done to tackle this problem at the moment.”

Cressida Dick, the Metropolitan Police commissioner, had said she would be willing to bring in troops to support her officers as they battle a spate of stabbings.

Defence secretary Gavin Williamson says military ‘ready to respond’ to knife crime crisis

And I had noticed that England is mentioned less and less on the Gun Control scripts.  It is rather embarrassing that the promise of a Violence-Free United Kingdom not only has not been realized but just the opposite is happening.

An I guess the Knife Control initiative ended up being represented by the picture below.

At least they are safe from the evil assault whisks.

  1. I think the Brits tossed Peel’s Principles in that bin with the rest of the trash.

  2. Bringing in the military….. with empty rifles and politically correct rules of engagement no doubt…. “musnt upset our muslim friends now so please only assult british subjects”

  3. Take the guns away from the people, make self defence (yes, British spelling) a crime and suddenly knife crime rises. Now they want to outlaw knives. Cricket bat crime will rise. That’s why British people are SUBJECTS and not CITIZENS.

  4. Too many people don’t understand the difference between a Free Man and a Subject.
A Free Man’s life belongs to him. He can, if he so chooses, take up arms in defense of his own life, the lives of his family, or defense of his community. The choice is his.
A Subject has no choice. He must rely on whatever protections his Rulers deem appropriate for someone of his social status. HIS life belongs to THEM.
