The death of Abu Al-Baghdadi is great news, but this statement from President Trump is a tactical nuke:

We notified some. Others are being notified now as we speak. We were going to notify them last night but we decided not to do that because Washington leaks like we’ve never seen it before. There’s no country in the world that leaks like we do. And Washington is a leaking machine.

Knowing the levels of Trump Derangement Syndrome flowing in DC and other areas,  I have to concur with the Prez. More than one asshole (Democrats and the known Never Trump Republicans) would have notified ISIS and tell them of the upcoming raid so it would be seen as a failure for the President.

  1. Remember Leaky Leheigh? Get out of a Senate Intelligence(or Defense, can’t remember which) meeting and head straight for the first camera he saw to blab.

So bad the Democrats, who controlled the committee, threw him off it.

  2. Reminds me of the old story about “I was driving home in that awful rainstorm last night. The roads were terrible, and one guy got washed off the road and into the creek. I stopped to see if I could do anything. I looked, and looked, and the guy had climbed out of his car, up n the roof. It looked as if he was in immediate peril. Abruptly, I recognized him: Osama Bin Laden. I was torn, but, finally, realized that I couldn’t leave another human being in danger of an awful death, and not do anything. So, i notified 911, the police, fire department, adn Sheriff department.

I hope that they get those letters, soon!”

Similarly: (Trump meets the press:) “I immediately notified the House and Senate leadership about the raid.

I do not think that it is fair that I be held responsible that nobody was in their offices over the weekend to open their mail….”

Only one rule: Don't be a dick.
