Fresh from Arizona Arkansas (Yes I screwed up):
LOGAN COUNTY (KFSM) – The Logan County Sheriff’s Office announced on Saturday (June 6) that it would be changing uniforms for deputies to save money and present a “less militant” appearance.
I found this news item in some Police FB group and there was a lot of butthurt. I don’t know why as Logan County is in Arizona Arkansas and that is the Texas Ranger look so it has to be familiar. And unless you are a seriously stupid local criminal or recently arrived from the East Coast, you know damn well you don’t flock around with a Ranger unless you want to become integral part of the local topsoil.

Why the tie? It can be used to choke and control an officer’ neck and head. Where goes the head, so goes the body.

Most departments that have ties wear clip ons so no problem.

It’s Arkansas. North West Arkansas to be more precise. Why would a news site in Arkansas be reporting on a sheriffs office in Arizona? I did a search and the first 3 pages were all about Logan County Ar. So I went to the Logan County Ar. facebook page and found the story about the new look.

Yeah, but that Logan county (in CO) is nothing but farmland and handful of small cities. The largest is Sterling, I think (at about 20K pop). Nothing to see there, except agriculture, wind farms, and tornadoes. My wife’s family is pretty much all from Logan county.
