ORONO, Maine (NEWS CENTER) — One of the survivors of the Virginia Tech shooting in 2007 was in Maine Wednesday, sharing his story to help call for stricter gun control laws. Colin Goddard was shot 4 times by gunman Seung-Hui Cho and now has a titanium rod in his left leg. Goddard works for Everytown for Gun Safety, a non-profit advocating for gun control. He presented the film “Living for 32” at the University of Maine in Orono. The film is Colin’s story — how April 16, 2007 changed his life. He was in French class when the gunman started shooting. He was one of just seven students in his class to survive and he was the one to call 9-1-1.

It is good to see that Bloomberg and Co. are kind enough to re-use these human props. And I bet he good Colin at a good discount after all the use he got at the Bradys.

I guess the Opposition still does not get that trying to shame law-abiding gun owners by parading these “heroes” simply does not work.

  1. That’s the only kind of place they can use him, a tightly controlled environment. We used to get him to say all kinds of stupid things on Twitter before his Brady handlers shut him up.

  2. I do not accept any special status from Colin Goddard. He got shot and that does not make his argument for gun confiscation any more valid. Making me into an equally defenseless victim does not solve the issue. Perhaps if someone was armed in that gun free zone the results would have been better. He is a moron to not recognize reality.

    1. A good friend of mine was involved in a DGU a few years ago. He got shot in the process but survived. The other guys didn’t. He had his own weapon and took two of them down before falling. He didn’t suddenly become anti-gun. After he recovered he trained harder than ever since he came real close to dying.

  3. It’s amazing that this guy has Absolute Moral Authority, but the families of those killed by Gunwalker and left to die in Benghazi don’t have any at all.

  4. After talking my first trip to a backyard firing range just outside of Orono, I started researching guns on my computer in my dorm room at the University of Maine.

Good luck with Maine, Bloomberg, you’ll need it!

  5. Colin the coward, shot in the ass while cowering under a desk. Here’s what has always bothered me about this. These students knew what was going on, they could hear the gun shots. They knew he was headed their way. So why in the name of Zeus’s butthole wasn’t someone (Colin the Army vet?) behind that door with a chair or other weapon and when the asshole* came in, club him until he was either unconscious or dead? If you know that the monster is coming, why not go down fighting instead of wait your turn to be shot?

    * I don’t use the names of mass murdering assholes.
