That would be the idea Curby, someone needs to tell that to the folks in charge here. Seems like they are testing the fear response of the general public again. As the OP mentioned, I’d look for an ultra scary variant sometime late August or September that will impact the elections. Dems know they are going to lose bad unless they do something.
And of course war in Ukraine is a nice big distraction.
Political Distractions are one of the many things that if your government is sucking that bad to need them, the distraction won’t help- and will probably make things worse anyway.
A war in the Ukraine would work just like Nancy Pelosi’s Botox- it’s supposed to make her look younger, but instead just makes her look like an old hag with too much Botox.
At this point, Covid Fever has done played itself out. It’s where Disco was in 1982. Any attempts to reboot, remake, remix, make up a new variant- none of it is going to be the big hit that it was in 2020, ever.
