Yes, it is you car and you have the right to make sure your property is respected, but your life and the life of your loved ones trumps that. It went from a simple damage to vehicle to a burglary or home invasion because a door was opened.

Arm yourself,

Let the professionals “dripping with qualified immunity*” resolve the issue.
Seriously, STOP YELLING!!! Stop talking to him. Leave him alone and let him stand still on the hood, or even wander away. If you or the neighbors have children outside, go inside, lock the door, and go out a different door to get them safe.
