It is not a private sector business matter when hackers in foreign countries attack our oil and gas supply or food supply and interrupt the resource markets for millions of our citizens.

Our government exists explicitly to protect our citizens from foreign aggression.

The President should be leading an effort to protect our vital infrastructure and supply lines from foreign hackers, which very well may be connected to enemy governments.

Biden is not interested in leading that effort.  He’s not interested in protecting our vital infrastructure and supply lines at all.

Instead, his White House press secretary snarks at a reporter asking a serious question.

When our power grid or digital communication system is hacked and millions of people lose electricity or phone and internet service stops and business grinds to a halt for days and billions of dollars in damage is done to our economy, will Biden give a shit then?

Because this answer suggests that if hackers shut off the grid, that’s just another private sector matter.

  1. Its all part of thier illusion that if THEY controlled everything these things wouldnt happen. Remember health care??? We the gubmint will take it over and everything will be GREAT( if you like your plan, you can keep your plan)………..

  2. Local rags completely ignoring Fauci news but put up another anti-Trump article.

The only thing they’re interested in is protecting the DNC.

  3. Contemplate this. Even if there was an argument to be made over private vs public entities, this is possibly one of the most tone-deaf, asinine things to fall out of a White House official’s mouth I’ve heard in quite some time.

‘Oh, just go on over there and chat with them!’.

Wow. Just wow. Hey, Corporate America, I hope it was worth propping up this retard of a Resident — he’s tossing ALL of you under the bus!

  4. …I think you could certainly go track down those cybercriminals in Russia and have a good chat with them.

Condition accepted. Will the government have our back if that “chat” involves waterboards, hand cranked generators, and baseball bats? I didn’t think so.

    1. See J.kb’s proposal of restarting Executive Outcomes from yesterday. Hire some good geeks to track down the cyberterrorist assholes. Then send in the pipe hitters for that face to face conversation (and maybe some recreational diesel-boarding).

Has all the potential to be a great 5th generation warfare PMC.

  5. It’s a private matter . . . sure thing. Damn sure they wouldn’t say that if Cooter went and drilled and milled his AR-15 for a giggle switch then made himself Fram branded silencer to go on it.

She is, without a doubt, one of the worst presidential mouthpieces ever. This bitch is the same one that said that “in real terms” we proles are paying less for gas than we were before. But that goes along with the rest of this administration’s plans to profit off the misery of the country while fucking everyone with a non-skid dildo.

    1. That last sentence certainly has an amazing metaphor in it… 🙂
We know how little they care about pushing back on other countries (except Israel of course) from the fact that Belarus got away with an act of war against a NATO member without any significant verbal pushback from the Biden team, let alone something serious like the expulsion of all Belarus diplomats and/or a ban on all commerce with any Belarus entity. Those would be, in my view, the minimum acceptable response. More is certainly justified, given that Lukashenko is just a Putin puppet.
The same sort of thing applies here. We’re dealing with a criminal gang in Russia; the only rational theory is that they are operating with at least the full approval if not the actual assistance of the Putin regime. That being the case, the penalties for these crimes should land on Putin and his supporters.

      1. I will wager money, donated to the charity of your choice, that before 2023 this misadministration moves to rescind the Magnitsky Act. You know, the sanctions that the left swore up and down Trump was going to remove (but somehow never did)?

They project like an IMAX theater. Everything they accused Trump of doing, they were guilty of.

          1. True, but in standard Congressional fashion they could deal with that by burying it somewhere in the 4000 pages of some large bill. Call it “infrastructure”. 🙁

    1. Not to mention the USMC — “…to the shores of Tripoli”.
Was it Jefferson who demanded a ransomer to be delivered to the US “dead or alive”? Or was that a later event? It certainly would be appropriate here. I’d be tempted to amend it “dead (preferably) or alive”.

  6. The thing nobody’s talking about is the both of these cyber attacks – an oil pipeline and a meat processing plant – are the targets of the Green New Deal. That is, targets of the American Left.

Can’t get gas? Prices too high? Well, if you were driving an electric car you wouldn’t have that problem would you? Plus, you wouldn’t be hurting the environment by producing that CO2.

Can’t get meat? Wouldn’t have that problem if you were vegan would you? Plus, you wouldn’t be hurting the environment with all those cattle putting out methane.

Coincidence? Sounds more like the Democratic Socialists of America than Russia.

    1. Hm. Interesting working theory. We’ll see if the bad guys attack a wind farm or other greenie-approved power plant at some point.

  7. Biden dies not care about economic damage. They WANT the economy destroyed. The Democrats view these attacks as a good thing because they do not want ANY oil, gas, coal, etc in the United States at all. They WANT the complete shutdown off ALL lil pipelines, the want the complete shutdown of ALL coal fired plants, they want the total end to ALL energy extraction in the United States. To them the death of all industry in the United States is the goal. And they do not care about the suffering it will cause because in the end they do not care about the United stares or the people living in it.

If they banned all oil and gas overnight causing every single grocery store to have nothing. I’m talking I one will be able to buy food at all whatsoever causing hundreds of million to starve if not starve to death they would nut care. Ecstasy these are Democrats . To them people dying of starvation in the millions is a good thing. Because they only have e one goal: the complete and total extermination of all human life in the United States.

Let’s ask a yes or no question. Do you feel the Democrats would be willing to literally starve the entire population to death if it meant the end to all carbon emissions in the United States? I know my answer. Because these are Democrats. They hate the United States, hate United States citizens and desire there deaths of as many United States citizens as possible with the best outcome being the deaths of literally every single solitary United States citizen except themselves. And there RIGHT NOW would fully support the starvation of the entire country to kill off all who live in it. Because to the Democrats deliberately starving over 300 million people to death is a good thing. It is righteous, morally justified and absolutely necessary to bring about their progressive utopia. Not only that but in there future utopia After they succeed having the opinion that starving 300 million people to death on purpose to kill them all off is a bad thing will be met with immediate execution without trial.

Only one rule: Don't be a dick.
