Moms Shannon bullied Sad

“I think the behavior of some of the committee members was a little over the top,” said Rep. Terri Austin, D-Anderson. “They were disrespectful to those expressing concerns. Bullying doesn’t just occur in schools.”

So what was that deplorable behavior that some mean committee members engaged in? Were they making fun of her looks? Her clothing? Called her bad names? pushed her around? Shoved her in a locker?

Nope here is what happened according to the JournalGazzette.com:

It got especially heated when Zionsville mother Shannon Watts, of Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America, testified.

For every statistic she used, Lucas countered from a book he carried. For every statement she made on mass shootings, another lawmaker would refute.

Lucas even pointed out her maiden name and read a list of her previous jobs to note her expertise in media and marketing.

So Shannon Watts get challenged on GMO “facts”, refuted and asked about her past employment and she complains she was bullied.  Somehow she is so saintly, so “morally” above the rest of the peasants and even legislators that she is not to be bothered with such minutiae as the truth?

Truth & Full Disclosure: The New Bully Technique.

Or as someone said: Like turning the lights on and see the cockroaches run and hide.

  1. That’s been SOP for years. Mean ol’ men ‘bullying’ anti-gun women by asking them questions and refuting their meme’s.

Wait and see if she starts using rape terminology (No means No) when questioned like some used to do on the old Brady blog when their nonsense was countered.

    1. Was adding the “bitch” really necessary? I’m not agianst swearing when it is helpful for getting a point across, but here? In this context?

All you’ve done is given Ms. Troughton-Watts (or her organization) an anecdotal point to spin into an “all gun owners are misogynists” meme. We win our debates with these people when we use facts, logic, and the truth, to point out that they rely on fallacies, emotion, and lies. Don’t _help_ them by giving them an factual example of bullying.

Ms. Troughton-Watts thrives on transforming isolated antecdotes into “sweeping trends.” The way that Rumpelstiltskin worked with straw, Troughton-Watts spins pure bullshit into solid gold. Legislators are finally calling her out on it, which is a win for us. When your enemy is making a mistake — don’t stop them!

      1. With or without the word “bitch”, she’d still spin my comment as bullying.

And “all gun owners are misogynists” is interesting. It shows that she is beyond stupid, for what is she to make of all the gun-owning women out there?

        1. We aren’t going to convince her of anything. It’s the wider public we need to be mindful of.

      2. I agree with your statement, however, the description seems to be well deserved by Shannon Watts based on her actions. The names that she called the OCT families in Dallas a few months ago were much worse.

  2. This is the problem with the anti’s “logic.” It makes no sense.

I’ve never understood parking lot gun bans. It’s literally a matter of 24 feet.

I used to live in Indiana, and my inlaws are from the Hoosier state. I couldn’t park in the parking lot of a school. But I could park on the opposite side of the street from the school and be legal. Same with day cares, banks, post offices, etc. If you don’t want guns in the building, fine. But if the difference between my gun being legal in my glove box or being illegal in my glove box is the width of a two lane road, your policy is stupid.

  3. J, the difference isn’t the width of a two lane road, its the sidewalk when you park on a public street. And banks aren’t GFZ by law, though possibly by policy.

And Jim Tomes is a senator with a long history ofn fighting for our rights. Great man.

  4. Shannon Watts seems like a classic case of a projection. She is a bully herself but lays the “bully” label on anyone who dares disagree with her.

  5. Characterizing Watts as a “bitch” wasn’t really accurate. She’s clearly a lying, leftist bitch who hates America and freedom. We should be careful to correctly describe Bloomberg’s mercenaries. Otherwise they’ll use our politeness against us.

  6. The classic exchange between a liberal and a conservative:

    Liberal: ATTACK ATTACK ATTACK!!

    Conservative: respond.

    Liberal: HOW RUDE!!

Alternatively, when a conservative gets insulted by a liberal (“RACIST!!” is their favorite insult), it often means that the liberal has lost the debate.

    1. I am always amazed at how they claim to be “strong women” and at the first sign of controversy, they behave like kicked puppies and claim victim status.

  7. I, too, would like to bully Shannon. Please tell me how to make this happen. What type of bullying options are at my disposal? Is emotional and/or psychological abuse on the table? This truly sounds wonderful!
