This Saturday, November 2, 2019, on the Capitol Lawn in Washington D.C. there will be a Second Amendment Rally with a long and distinguished like up of speakers.
If you are in the area or can make the trip, I urge you to go. This is a good and necessary thing.

§16.16.10 Pursuant to 40 U.S.C. Section 5104(e)(1), firearms, dangerous weapons, explosives, or incendiary devices are prohibited on Capitol Grounds.
But I expect to see several of Florida’s Chest Thumpers ignore this and truly have the Rosa Park moment they keep saying they do. I mean, you guys are plainning on going, right? Ar 15 strapped to your chest as you walk the streets of DC?

I’m still planning on going, but am rethinking my transportation options. The World Series parade for the Nationals is now the same day, overlaps the rally time-wise and ends within sight of the rally. There’s no way I’m driving into DC with that mess. Planning to catch the Metro from one of the outlying stations, probably. Just hoping I get there early enough to avoid the crush on the subway.

I know it’s terrifying that someone might be out there, somewhere, doing something you don’t like and not hurting anyone; but that’s how liberty works.

Nononono… You don’t get to come here and BS with platitudes to defend them from what they said. They were calling themselves the new Rosa Parks. Rosa Parks did break the law to make a point. Isn’t a bad law and unjust law that should be ignored and fought? They sure look pretty thumping their chests and screaming “MUH RIGHTS!” when there is no skin to be sacrificed in the process.
And that is the point I am trying to make: Chest Thumpers are a bunch of dangerous assholes not because the rifles but because they fuck up the work done at a legislative level.
So it simply comes to this: Put up in DC or shut up. If you are not willing to have a true Rosa Parks moment, then stop claiming they are some new Martin Luther Kings for Gun Rights. At best they are a Jesse Jackson or Al Sharpton.

What is the fucking objective here? To get a full Open Carry law on the books or to parade with an AR15 at local piers on the weekends?
