…Blumenthal was likely referencing the most recent firearm fatality data available from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, which lists 33,636 firearm-related deaths for 2013.

Senator Blumenthal should have kept on reading that report. The CDC’s numbers for Flu/Pneumonia deaths in 2013 were 56,979.
But then again you read that he was around minions and cohorts of the Cult Coalition to Stop Gun Rights Violence, and you figure stupid is contagious and he got infected with that particular strain of flu.
As I point out to folks who try to make that argument, no less an authority than Consumer Reports has reported that the medical profession kills dead 440,000 PER YEAR. I hear no outrage.
I was going to mention this fact, but was afraid it would set off a wide spread panic!
I’ve mentioned that in the past, and the argument is always that doctors are trying to save people while guns are “only designed to kill.”
Wait, doesn’t that mean there’s a fatal flaw with doctors?
It is not the guns or number of gun that is the problem it is people and number of criminals is where the problem lies.Until they get this through their thick skulls the needless killings will continue.You don’t fix things by dwelling on the how,you need to work on the who and why.
