Two people are dead and another is in critical condition after a shooting at a church in White Settlement, west of Fort Worth, officials said.
Multiple agencies are responding to 1900 South Las Vegas Trail in White Settlement, where the West Freeway Church of Christ is located.
MedStar spokeswoman Macara Trusty confirmed that one person died at the scene of the shooting, one person died en route to a hospital, and another person was transported to a hospital in critical condition.
The shooter is believed to be one of those three people, said Fort Worth Fire Department spokesman Mike Drivdahl.

Still early but initial reports say an armed guard in the church took the shooter out. Also unconfirmed, the picture shows the inside of the church when the shooting starts and the shooter is visible in it.

“Many are curious as to the origins of the name of “White Settlement.” This was originally bestowed upon the community by several Indian tribes in the area. During the 1800s, a time when much of the territory was unsettled, the local Native Americans became aware of new people moving into the area. As these families established homesteads, the Native Americans began to call the area “White Settlement.””
So it was named that, not by the white people, but the Native Americans who lived nearby.
So those Leftists are mocking the name given to the town by the indigenous POC’s of Texas.

“announcing the end of Gun Rights because it did not stop the shooting” — I’d say, it pretty much did. Third shot dropped the hostile shooter, over in literally a couple seconds.
But, it’s not a mass shooting (no pun intended) because the attacker did not shoot four or more people. By definition, not a mass shooting.
The record remains unbroken. So far, no good guy with a gun has stopped a mass shooting.
There is no doubt that the brother in the picture shooting the attacker did save the lives of many more people in the assembly. And that is NOT what is wanted by the Tranzi hoplophobes and hoploclasts – who want a long butcher’s bill each year to support their actions.
Sadly, there will be too many religious people who will attack the brother for (a) actually daring to carry in a “sacred place” or in the assembly or divine service, (b) killing the attacker without giving him any opportunity to repent, (c) endangering others in the building by shooting, and (d) apparently NOT being a police officer, security guard, or other “authorized guntoter.” (I am making that assumption, since early news stories said that there were multiple members of the congregation who had weapons out and ready.)
Christ Jesus clearly authorized His followers to defend themselves against criminal actions – telling His disciples to obtain and carry a sword. Turning the other cheek does not require refusing to defend other christians (or yourself) from those who would kill you or others.
