But they ‘did something’ don’t you understand? It doesn’t matter if it was completely ineffective/useless and required little to no effort, they DID something. Now they can virtue signal to the world about how much they care.

Also, probably unrelated, when I enter a comment the page displayed immediately after is laid out very strangely. Clicking on any link brings back the normally formatted pages.
