Lawsuit can proceed against Kenosha shooter Kyle Rittenhouse

A federal judge in Wisconsin ruled Wednesday that a wrongful death lawsuit filed by the father of a man shot and killed by Kyle Rittenhouse during a protest in 2020 can proceed against Rittenhouse, police officers and others.

The father of Anthony Huber, one of two men shot and killed by Rittenhouse, filed the lawsuit in 2021, accusing officers of allowing for a dangerous situation that violated his son’s constitutional rights and resulted in his death. Anthony Huber’s father, John Huber, also alleged that Rittenhouse, who was 17 at the time of the shootings, conspired with law enforcement to cause harm to protestors. John Huber is seeking unspecified damages from city officials, officers and Rittenhouse.

U.S. District Judge Lynn Adelman on Wednesday dismissed motions filed by Rittenhouse and the government defendants seeking to dismiss the civil rights lawsuit.

So Rittenhouse conspired with the police to get Huber, a wife beater, to attack Rittenhouse from behind with a skateboard so that Rittenhouse could shoot him?

That’s some fucking bullshit.

Bit Adelman is a ridiculously Leftist judge, who was centured for being a Leftist politician at the bench.

The point of this isn’t to seek justice, it is to use the civil legal system to hurt Rittenhouse by trapping him in legal proceedings intended to financially destroy him.

The process is the punishment and this judge will allow the process to do that.

  1. That is the reason why I will leave the scene, rather than help a stranger out. Unless it is my personal protection, or that of a member of my family/friends, I am out of there if I can get out of there. If I see a guy beating the tar out of a woman, chivalry is dead. Sorry, not helping. I do not want to end up living under a bridge because I did “what was right.”

Sorry, it is reality today. Rush in and give first aid to someone hit by a car, and there is a 50/50 chance their family will sue you for some reason. (exaggeration) Even if you get the case tossed out before the first court date, it can be tens of thousands. Not in the mood to deal with the court costs.

Find a way to squash these type of cases (lawfare), and I am there. I will intervene, try to de-escalate, and if necessary take action. Until then, my family’s future outweighs your immediate safety.

    1. Knowing exactly what type of jurisdiction you reside under is the key to understanding your options in such cases. In central Florida I have a strong backing in this regard, as compared to when I lived in the New England states. Following appellate court case law pays huge dividends in determining your choices in societal interaction and involvement.

  2. THIS is Whats wrong with America. Idiot makes bad choices and they or next of kin sue. If idiot had stayed home or not decided to bring a skateboard to a gunfight maybe said idiot would be alive… its going to be sensationalized and kyle will again be the bad guy.. what a shiiteshow

  3. Well, we pretty much knew when the suits were first filed this was going to be ugly. I’m sorry for Kyle Rittenhouse more than anything else. The person who raised the wifebeater? Not so much sympathy there, especially after he started pulling this crap.

Legal minds: Is there any way KR can countersue for time lost, legal bills, defamation of character, etc.? At least make it painful to the other side should they lose.

  4. Adelman is a leftist pawn under the control of the Clinton Political Machine, serves as an attack dog to punish conservative constitutionalists who abide within the protections of a literal rendering of the constitution and bill of rights. Would love to hear the words this judge uses when he and the Clintons talk about Rittenhouse. Appointed judgeships is the ground floor of political warfare. Currently leftists hold at least a 29-judgeship advantage. And that’s if the Bush appointees were all conservatives, which they’re not.

Only one rule: Don't be a dick.
